I always appreciate the responses.  Thanks, guys.

Six more minutes before the D1 wrestling championship matches begin.  Unfortunately, Pedophilia State University has already locked up the national championship.
That's good! Hahahahaha (not what happened, just the name)

Mr. Ypsi

2012 National Champions, the Titan women!!  Final was 57-48. ;D ;D ;D

A game of runs.  GF started off 9-0, still led 21-12 when the Titans closed out the half on a 16-1 run.  After some back and forth, GF had a 13-0 run about midway in the second to take a 6 point lead.  Titans closed the game on a 12-0 run.

Congrats to the Titan women on their 2012 Title. Great season. I wasn't sure about the final, but I knew they were good enough to be in the FF.

Great seasons, both Titan teams.  Congrats to Coach Rose and Coach Smith, all the coaching staffs, trainers, Titan AD Bridges, all the Shirk Center Staff, and, of course, all the great D3 student-athletes.  You made us all proud to be Titan Green, especially on St. Pattie's Day, and surely proud to be IWU alums!  Great job, good sportpeopleship, and winning wonderful academic awards at the national tournament, too.

Congrats to Olivia Lett and Jordan Zimmer on All-American Honors, and to Olivia for D3Hoops Player of the Year.  I'm sure more awards, esp. coaching awards are coming along.  And, we reload now, with a great group of underclassmen with alot of tournament experiences, playing time this year.  Lots of good players to continue the IWU basketball traditions in the coming years.  Surely, can't hurt recruiting either!

It's been a great season and I hate to see it come to an end.  Job well done, drive for five completed by the women, now another double happiness next year -- trips by both teams to the Final Four again.  Each year it gets better and we learn more of what it takes.  The women just did it . . . all the way.  Watching them closely this year and seeing the tough D, coupled with Olivia Lett's amazing offensive skills, I knew they had a good shot to win the crown, and they did it!   Men can do it to in coming years as well.

Looking forward to celebrations on campus this coming week.

Congrats to Whitewater on their big comeback win vs. Cabrini tonight for the men's D3 Championship.  Cabrini was impressive against us, so that's an amazing comeback, win, for the Walnut and Bronze.

Season winding down . . . the board will quiet.

On to other forms of March Madness, to baseball/softball . . . and outdoors time for Spring and Summer.   It's been a great D3 hoops season.  Much enjoyed.

Over and out.

If you're looking for something to do, watch your Titan women's track team. They are very good. I think IWU is hosting outdoor conference in May as well.

And one, if the meaning of a bandwagon jumper means being in Salem last night, flying to Holland and watching the girls win it all tonight, so be it. But just to be clear, I've been to Salem all five times the men have been there, I watch Jack Sikma play in Kanas City in the mid 70's. I might miss 1 game a year, but not always, there have been years when I see them all. I'm a Titan fan yes, not any better than the rest of us, I just have the time and whatever else it takes to travel. Ask any past player about me, they will confirm. But absolutely, I'm not the basketball genius you are. I do know the way to Salem Va.. Well my pilot does anyway, that's more important. But if you want somebody to play with, you should go to Toys R Us, . We lost Friday to a better team, I just stated a fact that it was called different than most games I have watched. A view shared by others who saw the game.

I do believe I would get a map if I would you, find out how to get to Salem Va. With what's coming back, the North Central Cardinals will be heavy favorites in next years CCIW race. And in the national picture as well.

Back to the party.

So now that we'Ve closed the book on the "down" season in the CCIW, what are some thoughts on nex year. does NC lead the pack? does IWU reload? can Augie and Coach Bi-polar get it back together?  will the bottom of the conference ever come back to life, and I'm only asking this in light of rising tuition costs (NC will increase by 4.2) and uncertainty about government financial aid that will be available. For that matter, does anyone think higher costs plus limited funding will hurt D3 private colleges in the near future? Just some thing to think about before the board goes quiet.

I will ask again, did anyone have any success in watching the NCAA live video from Salem or Holland on an ipad2?  We had no trouble with the video from the colleges prior to the NCAA
feeds, we even paid the $3.99 for Div 1 hoping that would provide the background programs needed to watch any NCAA.
We might just have a flawed ipad2 and will visit Best Buy tomorrow.

And one, I would have loved to see your coments after that game, if it was your team. I've read your rants after NCC games you thought you were gettig a bad whistle. I, and Q never said it wasn't fair, it was just different. Maybe you and Our House can share a few thoughts over a beer sometime. But it will never be in Salem, because that's where Final Four teams play!

Well, Mr, Johnny Come Lately, who appears to have just jumped on the bandwagon since IWU began their great tourney run, you really put me in my place!

As far as any "rants" following any NCC games in which I felt the Cardinals got screwed, if you had read the entire post, I'm pretty sure that in the majority of cases that "rant" would also indicate that crappy officiating was not the sole cause of the loss.

As far as today's posts, where did I criticize the Titans in any way? I merely inquired why, if the officiating was "even and fair" why such a big deal was made of it. I also asked why a loosely officiated game would favor the quicker team rather than the bigger, more physical team. I also complimented Stephen Rudnicki on successfully completing perhaps the most highly pressurized shot of the year. I mentioned IWU peaking at the right time to be able to make a charge into the Final Four. My questions and comments were made on the basis of a more thoughtful analysis than your obviously limited comprehension of the game of basketball would allow.
Actually, Watcher, it appears your only motive was to come on and distribute a little hate mail. Well, as with the junk mail thats regularly received in my mailbox at the curb, your crap is being tossed aside with the rest of the garbage.

As far as Our House and I sharing a beer at some point, I doubt he'd want to share anything with the likes of me.   ;D

Travel aside, D3 Watcher, if you have been a fan for such an extended length of time, why have you not previously shared your knowledge with the board??

As far as jumping on the bandwagon, despite your being such a long-term fan, you only registered and began posting on 3/4/12 after IWU knocked off Hope and stepped to the forefront of this year's national scene. Accordingly. it was a rather easy call. If Wesleyan would have lost to Hope, its evidently highly doubtful that we would have ever heard from you.

And, as far as your assertion that "I just stated that it was called different than most games I have watched," I think you're telling a little fib to cover your rear end. That just doesn't jive with the portion of your original missive stating "I've read your rants after NCC games you thought you were getting a bad whistle." If your feeling was just that the game was very loosely called why didn't you just say so and leave it at that? Why include the statement that I've complained when I thought NCC got a bad whistle? What has that got to do with your statement about the Wesleyan/Cabrini game being loosely called?
By drawing an analogy between the IWU/Cabrini game and my posts, one could easily draw the conclusion that what you're actually doing is revealing your true feelings that IWU was the victim of an unfairly called game. Think about it. Any trained investigator could readily pick up on that discrepancy.

Additionally, it would appear that you've been an IWU fan for a long time. A short while ago I seem to remember a discussion herein concerning the fact that many "older" IWU fans are unable to comprehend the possibility of IWU ever committing a foul or not being fouled almost every time they touch the ball.
,
Your revelation about flying to Salem to watch the men one night, and then to Holland the next night to see the women, along with your statement that you have the time and "whatever else" it takes to travel along with the fact that "MY pilot" knows the way to Salem, would seem to indicate you may be a wealthy man. Congratulations. I guess your toys don't come from Toys R Us! But, that still doesn't mean you don't have to play fair and not say one thing, and then something different in the next sentence.

Lastly, instead of my buying a map, why don't you be a nice guy just loan me YOUR pilot (and plane)?  ;)

I have an ipad2 (but no pilot) and I have had video issues watching some feeds. I didn't even try with the IWU game. I watched it on my laptop but I think there is an issue with some software and iPads.
