So Mr. Y, do you still go to homcoming?

My 40th (in 2010, where I almost got heatstroke in mid-October ) was my first homecoming.  I'll probably do my 45th (and, who knows, may sneak in a game or two before then). 

I have increased my attendance at d3 games somewhat the last few years, but a standing joke for a while (not undeserved) was that I had BY FAR the highest post-to-attendance ratio on d3boards.com!  (Since some posters live overseas, or in such d3 'wastelands' as Florida, and I have finally started attending a few more games, I'm not sure if that razzing if true anymore. )

But, yes, it is true that I went 37 years between d3 games at one point!

Pat C. even instituted the 'cabonney rule' at one point (my former posting name; which is my initials and last name): no one who hasn't seen a d3 game in X years has a right to be so opinionated!   I take great pride in having my own rule!

That is pretty cool, even though your're an IWU guy(just kidding- ). Too bad you didn't go to homecoming last year, as it is one of my favorite memories of last season(for personal reasons only-not a knock on the Titans), as I was probably more nervous about that game than Junior. I stopped going to homecoming after a few years, because I coach volleyball in the fall and we always ended up having a tournament on that day. Same holds true for Alumni week-end, as I coach track and big meets are always held on the week-ends.

I have mixed feelings about Homecoming. While it's great to see so many old friends returning to NPU, it means much longer lines at Charcoal Delights before the football and soccer games.

Once the first few years are over, only the multiples of 5 will see many of your own classmates.  And 2010 (NPU) was certainly a better bet for happiness on the football outcome than 2011 (NCC)!   (I DO salute IWU for guts in having NCC as the homecoming game last fall; in 2010, I left at halftime with IWU up 28-0.  I wanted to see the IWU/NCC women's soccer game [also, as expected, a home team blow-out] and commented to the gatekeeper "this game is over".  He responded, "This game was over before NPU got off the bus."  I found that rather rude, but, alas, not inaccurate.)

So did you win?

My lawyer and accountant have advised me to be patient... but I can say I won.

So will you take your $3 in a lump sum payment or spread it out over 20 years?

I am allowed to say I won more than $3! I used one of my lucky numbers... along with some other birthday numbers... and we already went to Disney World... need to find some other exotic place... say Bloomington?

I was always speculating why you had the incessant need to respond to virtually every post on this board.  You now confirmed what I thought....since you have celebrated your 1.100th post you must have some desire to get to such lofty status as the HOF'ers you have called out?

Listen, your welcome to your opinions but if your going to point out when others smite your karma (really, is it that important), or question you, then maybe it is time to be called out.  Greg and Bob have been supplying this board with knowledge, perspective and levity for a long time and quite frankly, this board wouldn't be the same without their input. 

I rarely ever smite (and haven't in your case).   Just find it interesting that someone who is such a new poster has such a grasp as how things need to work on this board.

The good thing is your always on so I know a response won't take long and God knows you won't be able to resist adding to your post numbers.
