Good win for the Titans.  Balanced scoring and good defense.  I really think that Kevin Reed is one of the best and under-rated bigs in the league just now, with rebounding, scoring, and consistency.  He was all over the place tonight . . . . and 16 RBs.  We haven't seen someone with that many in an IWU game for a long, long time.

Keep it rolling, Titans!

IWU women also won, now 6-2 in league play.

Q, is tonight the first time all season that Victor Davis was the leading Titan scorer?

Nice balance for the Titans tonight.  I thought Kevin Reed just had a monster game.  Hope Zimmer heals fast and well, gets back into the lineup for these key, upcoming road games.

Nice to get a W but 49 fouls called tonight as the officials took over 2nd half following double technicals to end 1st half.  39 fouls whistled up in 2nd half.  Elmhurst finished with 26.2 FG pct in (IMHO ) a disorganized effort, for the most part, 5 individual guys rather than a team on the court.  I seen better team play in intramural pick-up games than by the Bluejays tonight.

Kevin Reed had a terrific game.  I think his game has improved another level over last season. Victor Davis also played well and really let the game come to him.

Anyone in here follow NIU?  Today, EMU scored 42 points - and won by 17!!  NIU set all sorts of NCAA records in futility, including FOUR points in the first half, on 3.1% shooting from the field, and shot 13.2% for the game.  After their only FG of the first half staked them to a 2-0 lead, they missed their next THIRTY-SIX shots in a row!

Imagine that half-time talk by the coach after seeing his team score four points on 3.1% shooting.

NCC was down 7, goes on a 15-2 run and now leads 58-52 with a little over 4 minutes left.

Tiknis hits deep shots late in the game again.  He is tough.

Carthage 71
Millikin 47

MU only scored 15 points in the first half.

Reese Herth had 24 for the Red Men, who got Tyler Pierce back tonight.

Wheaton claws it's way back after a huge run by NCC.  Teuscher hits huge 3 for Wheaton to tie it at 64 with 19 seconds left.

Going to overtime.

Probably something along the lines of what the Millikin coach gave his team after scoring 15 in the first half tonight...and not scoring a FG for the last 12 minutes of the first half.

Carthage by 24 over the Big Blue tonight.  Wasn't close after Millikin won the tip.

Great game. Like a heavyweight title fight.

This pretty much gives Wesleyan the CCIW title.

NCC is tough.  Tough tough.  But a huge W for Wheaton to stay in it.  Great 2nd half to get back in it and close it out, especially being down 8 so late in the game.

The biggest play of the game was made by Nate Serenius with 30 seconds left in OT and the game tied at 69. He missed a long jumper, read where the ball was going off the rim, ran to the spot, got his own rebound, and drew a foul from Derek Raridon in the process. That fouled Raridon out of the game. If Raridon had stayed in the game, I think NCC would've won.

Great point.  A little momentum shift there and in a game like this, enough to affect the rest of the game.  Once Wheaton starts making plays like that on a more consistent basis, as will hopefully come with maturity, they will very very tough.
