Adam Dauksas should become IWU's all-time assist leader this evening.  He needs just 2 to tie and 3 to pass Brian Martin, '93 (524 total assists).  It's not every season in the CCIW that we see a player become a school's all-time leader in one of the 3 "triple double" categories (points, rebounds, assists).

I don't think I'll be around to see anyone break IWU's all-time scoring and rebounding marks and to be honest, I think Adam's assist mark (whatever it ends up at) is safe for a long, long time.

Scoring
1. Jack Sikma ('77) 2272

Rebounding
1. Jack Sikma ('77) 1405

Assists
1. Brian Martin ('93) 524
2. Adam Dauksas ('06) 522

Augie is playing good this year but if your "star" keeps on shootting like he is they will be out in the first game of the CCIW Tournament.  It is all about who gets hot at the end and right now that is not Augie.  So they might win the conference during the season but not at the end.  NCC all the way.

Re: the Northwestern (IA) girl, the Tribune had a paragraph on her streak last week.  She set the Iowa HS scoring mark, earned a scholarship to Iowa, got hurt and homesick, and transferred to the NAIA school, which is <20 miles from her home.  She's made over 400 FTs in a row in practice, according to her coach.

By contrast, I once hit six free throws in a row during a college intramural game in the only "double" game of my career.

Gophers are on the verge of beating the Spartans!!  Hang tight.

In the category of trivial but amazing numbers, the CCIW site is now over 100,000 views.  The nearest conference, after a quick glance, is at about 58,000.  That's a lot of people who are either unemployed, or should be.

Well said, Pat.  The NCC folks don't deserve to have that guy representing them.

Games should be nearing half-time by now - anyone got any scores to report on 'in-game updates'?

[And as I was typing that, hammer posts a Wheaton-IWU score (and no where near half-time!) - any others?]

USA TODAY had a piece on her too, I think on Wednesday. I copy edited it, so if there's a misspelling, let me know. :)

What planet is AugieSucks from?  Whoa!  You need a lost and found box, because you have LOST IT!
Good game going on right now at Elmhurst. No matter where the Vikings are in the standings they always play hard.

Elmhurst up 47-33 at the half.  Both teams are shooting well.  FYI, more updates on the CCIW in-game updates.  Augie is up, IWU, is also up at halftime
