Carthage vs. UW-Oshkosh--Oshkosh is a very young team--10 frosh--but they are a tough bunch, played St Norbert to the buzzer.

Not true. St. Norbert defeated UW-Oshkosh by ten points, 63-53. The Green Knights maintained a two-possession-minimum lead throughout the final six and a half minutes of the game. The Titans clearly gave SNC a tough game, but by no means did they "play St. Norbert to the buzzer."

Thanks, IWUfan, for the update and report.

Sounds like many Titans are getting healthy, ready to play in December.  Hope they don't rush Overstreet back too soon -- we need him at full strength for the CCIW run.  Glad to hear all the news on the others.  Marietti?

Happy Thanksgiving to all!!!

Marietta probably not until CCIW play after the first of the year.

Thanks, IWUFan.   Good healing to all the Titans -- may they all be at full strength, fully healthy and healed by January 1st.

Carthage posted a workmanlike home victory over a very young and very raw-looking UW-Oshkosh, 80-63.

The freshman from the western suburbs, Scott McNellis, looked pretty good tonight for the Red Men.

Donte Logan looked great tonight, as did what I saw of Marlon Senior Reese Herth had foul trouble again (Malcom Kelly returning to help with depth here with help a lot).  McNellis looked like he was at game speed tonight and I hope is ready for quality minutes in CCIW play as he is likely the first big off the bench this year.

I wasn't overly impressed with Oshkosh - seemed like Carthage was mostly having their way with them.

Oshkosh's usual leading scorer, Dylan Wurtz, was 0-6 and did not score.  Must be some prolific defender on the RedMen?  ???

Maybe...the D was good from what I saw.  Maybe Bosko had a game plan to take Wurtz out of the game and succeeded.  In general, I like what I've seen of Carthage's defense this year.

I understand there is a lot of preseason action coming up...but with some teams struggling and hurting, and others growing and upsetting...It is shaping up for a very interesting conference season this year.

I don't know where you're getting your insider information from, but you're dead wrong.

No insider info here.  Just a post that makes no sense.

All I meant to say is that the CCIW conference play should be very competitive.  More programs able to win on any given night.

I don't know why you understand that, since the preseason ended over two weeks ago. ;)

There are a lot of lawyers on this board I suspect.  ;)
