The Elmhurst @ Augie clash may end up being a play-in game for the CCIW tourney.

Once again the jekyll and hyde Red Men ;) have now won 7 of 8 and appear to be playing the biggest game in a few seasons at Wheaton Wed...  Im sure the RedMen will take that jeklyll and hyde reputation  if they keep winning games.

smirk if you will...but even in this game you should have seen what I am talking about.  They had a 7 pt lead with 9:00 to play.  Turnover...Turnover...Turnonver...2 pt game less than two minutes later.  At least twice they came down the floor and tossed up a three less than 10 seconds into the shot clock, both misses, one and done.

Yes, they are getting W's, but it's how they go about it that is sooooo frustrating.

Highlights from Wheaton's win at Augustana on Saturday night. Wednesday night should be a good one at King Arena. Mwunder, let's not get ahead of ourselves with W's. Wins on the road this year have been increasingly hard to come by.
You win some, you lose some, and sometimes it rains.

We'll I enjoyed the YouTube video by Wheaton's coach! Please everyone come out it will be my last time playing in that arena. I don't believe they will be hosting the conference tournament. Wednesday after the game I'll be answering questions for those who may have any.. So follow me on twitter @MkellyRedmen25. Thanks!!!

I want Carthage to win this league so that there are three leagues with Wisconsin based D-3 champions.

Gramps, I got to see you and the Redmen play for the 2nd time last Saturday at North Central.  It was a grind in the last 8 minutes but it worked out.  Best of luck with the rest of your season.  It is fun to watch you and your team play.

MalcomKelly25

Naperick it was a battle! But thanks for the luck I'm sure we will need some.

Gramps, good to see you here on the board.  Good luck the rest of the way, except at The Shirk, of course!. :)

Happy New Year -- Horse Year -- to all the CCIW board chatsters.  Holiday week wrapping up here in Hong Kong now, so we are all "back to work" soon.  Nice break.

Tough winter over there -- sorry about all the snow and storms.  Hope no more games are postponed.

Safe travels to all teams and fans.

Luke Kasten was a great player, great overall career numbers.  I remember well when he exploded on the scene at The Shirk for IWU.  He played with great bravery with the bad knees that senior season.

Good luck to all the CCIW road warriors, with the snow and storms upcoming.  Be safe.

Malcom, I'll be more gracious than my classmate iwu70: YOU can have good luck at the Shirk as long as your teammates all play like third graders! ;D

Looks like the nickname I gave you has stuck.  8-)
Now I know you can stay up later than the younger kids, but its time to get off here and get started on that paper.  ;)
I won't say good luck because I don't think you'll need it.

iwu70

Ypsi, you are so kind, so charitable.  I guess it is respect for your elders . . . and for Gramps.   :)

Congrats to Mssr. Haynes of Wheaton for CCIW Player of the Week honors.  (IWU's Katy Seibring won her second Player of the Week award of the season, her third overall,  on the women's side).

Some really great games upcoming -- esp. CC vs. WC this weekend.  AC vs. IWU @ The Shirk, too.

Now, AndOne, give credit where it is due. ;)

He was not at all pleased when you first nicknamed him.  Then I explained to him that it was actually an affectionate term bestowed for at least a hundred years in baseball (though the players would presumably be a lot older than 27!), and he should feel honored, not dissed.  THEN he adopted it! ;D
