Highlights from last night's game.

looks like you had access to video of the Wheaton bench during the game.  Any chance you caught Coach Schaurer after Nate Haynes got the dunk at their end late in the second half?  The video will speak for itself if you have it.

Looks like Wooster, as usual, will get to host Rounds 3 & 4 if they win at home on Mar. 7 & 8. I am certain that Wheaton will not be hosting Rounds 1 & 2. All Wheaton did in the 1st half last night was shoot 69% from field (18/26), 67% on 3s (6/9) and 100% from the line (6/6) with 3 TOs. About as perfect a half as any opponent has ever played at Shirk since it opened in 1994. Plus, their man-to-man defense was terrific. The Wheaton team that showed up for the first half Saturday (48 points) did not resemble the team that seemed a little uninspired in the first half Friday vs. Augustana (31 points). Playing IWU seems to energize opponents and that's probably understandable. For the 2nd year in a row, IWU fails to beat a team three times (Augie last year, Wheaton this year). IWU goes 25-3 in CCIW play this season and last and 1-2 in CCIW tourney play. But the tournament should have enriched the conference as the attendance was good (1,800) and most everyone paid. I wonder if Chris Martin will ask for a raise. There is no chance that the CCIW coaches will ever abandon the tournament. Attendence at Hope last night was 3,103 vs. Calvin. The attendance at Loyola (vs. Evansville) was 1,382.

A weather update from Texas.

Titan Q has been here less than a month and we just had a h3llacious iced storm today!  The temperature dropped 50 degrees!

Did he bring it with him?

We are 22 degrees below the average low and 6 degrees below the all-time low temperature!

I'm sure Q brought all that snow and ice down there to Big D from Nebraska.  You are welcome to it, Ralph!  :)  Brutal winter, never-ending.

Interesting proposed bracket, pods on the D3hoops front page now.  Could happen.

Do hope to see four CCIW teams get bids.

That was a "hellacious" storm, Ralph??  I think you need to visit the north a little more.

I'm not like most IWU fans, I don't want to see 4 CCIW teams make it. Why would we want teams in the tourney that we know can knock us out. Sorry Augie, sorry Carthage, but this is personal.

After Saturdays game, the phrase "treated us like a rented mule" kept popping into my mind. Congrats to Wheaton.

Augie V St Thomas @Whitewater

Wheaton v. Rose Hulman @Hope

IWU v Webster @IWU

New rules but did they even look at secondary criteria???

IWU's pod has #5 St. Norbert? At least the Titans get to host, I guess, but wow, they're getting thrown right into the heat of the battle. Sucks for St. Norbert that they don't get to host too.

Webster U. alum and fan here...anyone know of the date and times of the games?  Thank you in advance!

Man, I will just never understand the D3 bracket process.

Looks like a joke to me.

So if a Sectional is...

* Wooster
* Hope/Wheaton
* Wash U
* IWU

...I think IWU would have a great chance to host that.

I think Wooster to Wash U is over 500 miles.  So if they want to avoid a flight, that leaves Hope/Wheaton or IWU...and IWU should be the highest seed there.

Titans have a lot of work to get to that Sectional (I've heard St. Norbert is really good - D1 transfer stud), but I think IWU has a pretty good chance to play 4 games at the Shirk Center.
