Yeah, but TQ probably leads in sensible posts! ;)

Little doubt about that, Ypsi, but we still love you.  You almost got your 4 TD beatdown in football today.  The game easily could have been 42-14 Titans, but it ended closer to my prediction of 10 points Titans, with the final at Tucci Stadium and Wilder Field being 35-21.  At least the seniors got to go out winners today.  See my post in the football space.

Let the roundball commence.

Final from Cincinnati:

Augustana 51
Albion 47

(The game was tied at 26 at the half.)

Made the 5 minute drive to Benedictine earlier this afternoon to catch the 1st half and a little of the 2nd half of the IWU/BU JV game. Junior Green Weenie players who were, to me, the most impressive were Derrick Streety, Austin Amann, and Spencer Seibring. IWU was ahead by about 10 when I left.
Headed in the same direction in a little bit for the main event.

Final:

Benedictine 61
IWU 60

The Titans trailed a good portion of this game, but got a little lead (4-5 points) and some point in the final 10 minutes and seemed to be settled down.  But Benedictine made some big shots in the final minutes.  Jordan Nelson hit two huge 3's in the final minute or so (one to tie, one to put IWU up 1), but the Eagles countered both times with baskets.

IWU did not get a good shot on the final possession.  IWU got a rebound down 1 with about 12 seconds left.  Dylan Overstreet brought the ball up and settled for a defended 3-pointer.  Ryan Coyle got a decent look from 7-8 feet at the buzzer.

IWU was very sloppy and looked like a team that has a long way to go to put all of the pieces together.

Not a good effort by IWU tonight.  Bad decisions, not enough hustle and too many mistakes.  This was a game that IWU should win.
