North Park leads wire-to-wire in a 74-61 win over Wheaton.  Juwan Henry led all scorers with 25, while Jordan Robinson had 14 points and 10 rebounds, Michael Hutchinson scored 11 and hauled in 7 rebounds, and T.J. Cobbs had 10 points.  Masten and Berntsen each scored 13 for the Thunder.

IWU now unlikely to make the conference tourney, perhaps even have a losing season overall.  Tough loss at home to the Big Blue.  MU played well, IWU did not play particularly well, had a chance to win on the last shot, but Dolan's shot rimmed out.

Great offensive effort from the Jays. Erik Crittenden had his best offensive performance in CCIW play this year and Elmhurst really moved the ball around well, 24 assists to only 7 turnovers. I felt Elmhurst's defense was a little sloppy in the first half, but the second unit (especially Schwebke and Jalen Loving) played some solid D for Elmhurst in the second 20 minutes, as Elmhurst held Carthage to 28 second half points. In spite of the blowout, Baines left his second unit in for the entire end of the second half, rather than going deeper into the bench.

* I obviously agree about TJ Griffin. He is current 12th in scoring, T8th in FG%, and 10th in assists. This without much help as he and TJ Sims basically are Millikin with some Tommy Pilackas thrown in. However, I'm not putting a player who has been suspended for part of the season on my team, even if it wasn't much, or any, of the conference portion of the season.

Are you talking about Sims or Griffin? If it's the former, I think you're right about Sims being a no-go because of his suspension this season. Griffin's suspension was two seasons ago, though. I doubt that any of the other coaches would hold a senior's sophomore-season suspension against him.

Yes, I was referencing Mr. Sims who was suspended for a portion of the current season. Stuff from 2 yrs ago is not currently pertinent.

I don't agree with the guy (I'd take IWU's talent on the Wheaton campus right now. * Jagger Anderson: 19 points, 4 rebounds, 1 steal.
Like most players, especially those at the D3 level, Jagger has his deficiencies. However, there is possibly one player in the conference, and I doubt many within the Division, who can drive through most of the opposition and finish as spectacularly as Mr. Anderson. This has been happening regularly lately. Yes, I am a bit biased. So, ask an Augie fan who was at the game tonight.

* Kevin Honn: 17 points on 7 of 10 shooting, and a game high 9 rebounds.

* Jayme Moten: 11 points

* Erwin Henry: 10 points

AUGIE:

* Hunter Hill: 25 points (9/13, 5/8)

* Ben Ryan: 21 points (9/15)

You need not have even passed Basketball 101 to understand NCC had little ability to either defend Hill on the perimeter or Ryan on the interior. Whenever it looked like the Cardinals might mount a run of any kind Mr. Outside or Mr. Inside would seemingly score at will. Hill needed but a split second to launch one of his long range missiles, and Ryan muscled inside or hit the 6-7 foot baseline jumper with little resistance. No other western Viking scored in double figures.
