Stopped archiving the board around the time it started saying mean things about me, I believe that was before I moved anywhere, but it's all so long ago, who knows.  :-[

Anyhow, my reason for visiting. Not sure if anyone has noted this, but you can find Tentative information on the Memorial Service for Will Landry by clicking on the link at the top of the Wheaton Mens Basketball Page

Titan Q

Yesterday was the first day of practice in Division III, so official "welcome to the season."  Here's to another great CCIW race.

An IWU article from yesterday's Pantagraph...

Go Sox.

Looking forward to the season.  Hope all CCIW chatsters are doing well.  I'll be following the Titans again from Asia with the prospect of only attending a few games in late January.   Was just back to IWU for my class reunion and Homecoming.  A great time in the crisp fall air.

Now that practice has finally arrived, any reports on significant expected returnees who did not return?

And, so people don't have to review the previous 29 pages, feel free to remind us of expected returnees who did not even return to campus.

(Does Wheaton now appear to have suffered the losses previously reported?)

Augie's roster is posted and, thankfully, has no unexpected losses. Coach G should have pretty good depth again. He should also have a lot of options as to how he fills the openings left by Hoyt and Baumann. He could go big with, say, Dain Swetalla and Caricato (not likely in my opinion), small with Dain and, say, Pat Brusveen or Sam Johnson
(somewhat more likely IMO) or in between with both Swetallas or Dain and Oliver Rorer or Shaun Rose. My best guess right now (and I could be way off) would be both Swetallas. It'll be another month 'til we find out for sure, I guess.
Also, for the few who go as far back as I do with the CCIW, it was good to see Max Artis and Shane Price at homecoming this weekend. They were both inducted into the Augie Hall of Fame.

Cardsfan4life

NCC started practice along with every other D3 school and all the players showed up except Mike Wilson. humm..... wonder why?

Here are the odds on arnoldfan10:

Matt Arnold's Friend/Roomate OFF
Matt Arnold's Younger Brother  2-1
Matt Arnold's Older Brother 4-1
Matt Arnold's Cousin 9-2
Matt Arnold's Mother 8-1

IF he does make a few early, they'll stick one of their many lightning fast guards on him.  After that he'll be lucky to get another look the rest of the night.  Nothing against Arnold, he is a very good player, but people will be surprised how SMALL he is going to look out there.

A general (but burning) question:

Have Sager and Diskerud taken a sabbatical? The world awaits word ....
