Regarding Micah, I got bored at the 2:00 mark because the only FG attempts we see on video link are dunks, and then a lot of footage of blocked shots.  Good, raw recruit, Coach G.

You missed out! He made a FT and took a charge in the last 20 seconds!

So, can someone besides Mr. Ypsi (  :P  ;D ) convince me without green tinted Titan glasses, that IWU can be a CCIW player and NCAA tourney player next year. We've had a friendly debate over in fantasy land the validity of taking Seinbring and Rose in the Early Bird Futures League. I think for some outsiders, it looks like North Central and North Park could be the preseason favorites. We also can't ignore Carroll. Can IWU pass any of the 3 and make another Final Four run?

Carroll.....excellent team that has been battle tested in the Midwest Conference.

Todd Raridon of North Central, and Grey Giovanine of Augustana received two of the three 2015-2016 Coach Of The Year Awards given by the Illinios Basketball Coaches Association in the NCAA D3 division. The 3rd award, very understandably, went to Keith Bunkenburg of Benedictine.

Did Fred Hoiberg get an award for coaching those overpaid babies at the United Center?  >:(

Here's a nice synopsis by Bosko re:  two North Park championship teams that I watched in person.

http://athletics.northpark.edu/index.aspx?path=mbball&tab=basketball

Both teams were recently voted into the Illinois Basketball Coaches Association Hall of Fame; the ceremony was a couple days ago.

I missed the Wittenberg (defending nat'l champs) and Whitewater (#1 seed) games in 1985 as I believe both took place during spring break when I was in Daytona during Harley Bike Week and later in the Keys.

Toward the end Bosko states that he started his Viking career with 62 straight home victories.  I did not know that.  I do know I expected NPC to win, but had trepidation every year with IWU.

I always thought it was kind of weird playing 3 or 4 conference games near the beginning of the year and then waiting a month to play the rest of the games. I really liked our format last year. As you are well aware of, it was nice playing all the nonconference games prior to the new year and then starting the conference season in January. It was like a whole new season!

Yes, some very different schedules, different scheduling dynamics for league play.

Sure looks like Augie is hoarding bigs.

So, 13-3 becomes the new formula for winning the CCIW?

Happy Summer to all -- if it ever gets here.  Love those Cubbies . . . and White Sox too!  So far.

Big shout out to the IWU women track and field team, and Coach of the Year, Coach Shu -- winning the CCIW championship yet again.  (Yes, I know this is off-topic.  Just live with it!).

This is more or less the same as saying "love Calvin... and Hope too!"...

My understanding is that the definition of an 'atheist' in SW Michigan is "anyone who doesn't care who wins a Calvin/Hope game".  Are you calling Mark an atheist?! ;)

[I grew up in Peoria, which I would estimate was 35% Cubs fans, 35% Cardinals fans, and 20% White Sox fans (with 10% spread across all other possibilities).  Being an insecure kid, I was a front-running Yankees fan.  Having grown up, I despise the "Evil Empire", and am a Tigers fan (AL) and Cubs fan (NL).]
