Keelen's 3 AA's in Three years is very impressive, Rick Harrigan is about to close in on his 1000th point  and he really has only gotten quality minutes in his Jr and Sr seasons...another accomplishment

Sorry for bringing up an old discussion, but it wasn't ever really resolved. About Bollier and the free throw record. Dennis, if you are right, then the CCIW records page is wrong, which is entirely possible I guess. But they list the previous record as .920, Jerry Gray, Millikin, 1974 (46-50) (min-30 attempts). Check it out here: http://www.cciw.org/winter_bball_m/mbbcciwrecords.php

I notified the CCIW office that the correction needed to be made - and Mike Kritzman, the most able CCIW PR guy emailed me back that he would make the correction.

A quick glance at the record pages on the CCIW site shows me that a little correcting may be needed, several players have been identified with the wrong school.

I think Prikkel should keep the stats for the CCIW  ;D  He seems to do a better job than the acctual guys doing it!

I was just looking at the bracket and I'm a little bit confused.  If Augie is the #2 then why does Puget Sound get a bye?  Is it by virtue of one less loss than Augie?

It's by virtue of geography.  Tacoma is not within 500 miles of any tournament team, so if UPS were to host but not get a bye, three teams would have to be flown there.  With a bye, and the fortuity of an all-SCIAC first round game (Oxy vs. CMS), the NCAA can fly just one team to Tacoma--and it's a team that has to fly no matter where they go.  Hence the bye.

Brick

Thanks David,  I tend to think that is a pretty stupid reason to give a team a bye, but what the hell, I guess when your stuck in little D3 then you don't have the money to fly all over the place

Beginning to remember why I stopped posting...but you're right IWU is the favorite...as they have been most of the year w/o much luck (or blocking out)(or making shots).

Aww, I know the feeling!! Karma point for you to ease the pain. Not to mention that this post is pretty funny! ;)

The all-star game would be awesome. First of all, it would be a really good game. Secondly, it would be a great way to pay respects to the graduating class all at once. Warm and fuzzy feelings all around.  :)

I'm still not sure our 5 players could beat the MIAA's 8 though!  :D

Been there, done that for 17 years, thank you (1978-95), I think the present CCIW PR guy is doing a great job - the website is really wonderful - only wish we had had the internet and email when I was doing CCIW PR.

But thanks for the compliment.

The game tonight looks dead even on paper and when that is the case, the edge usually goes to the home team.  Here's hoping NCC can get it done in a tough draw tonight.

Can someone tell me if the NCC/ St. Thomas game will be webcast by anyone???  Could not figure it out from the WONC site at NCC.

Thanks

Brick

I'm not sure if NCC broadcast away games this past conf season, If they did not do those away games then I wouldn't bet on them doing tonights game either...but I could be entirely wrong.  (wouldn't be the first time)
