The bus got as far as Chesterton. They had a nice meal there at Culver's; North Manchester's a one-stoplight burg, so I doubt that there's a place to eat anywhere near the Man U campus. The Vikes were just getting back on the road when the word came that they'd have to turn around and go home again. So they returned to campus and sweated off all of that Culver's in an impromptu practice.

While it's not set in stone yet, the early word is that the NPU @ MU game may be rescheduled for Martin Luther King Day.

Warm congrats to IWU's Trevor Seibring for POW honors, for his good performance in IWU's win over #17 ranked Wash U.  Keep going Trevor!

IWU now 7-2, 1-2.  I'm hoping the Titans get on a roll and re-enter conference play in January at 10-2.  Chicago @The Shirk tomorrow, then two games on Staten Island, some good times in The Big Apple.   :)

Happy holidays to all the IWU Titan Nation friends and all the CCIW Chatsters on this Board.

Greetings from sunny, warm Hong Kong!  Tomorrow is the Winter Solstice, so all of HK will be enjoying family gatherings and dinners, as is our tradition here.

CCIW might have gone 4-0 today if it wasn't for NPU turning the bus around in fear of Manchester.

;D  Yeah, they feared the (lack of) power of Manchester! ;)

Seriously.. Merry Christmas Millikin... I hope they have a heck of a fun bus ride home....

If you had told me that Millikin was going to win one game this year earlier today, I would've gone with Geneva in the conso of the upcoming Wittenberg tourney, or else Elmhurst at the Griz on January 11. I would not have picked Rose-Hulman as the victim ... although, in retrospect, RHIT looked like a soft 4-3 in terms of the Engineers' sked coming into this game.

Looks like it was a close one the whole way. RHIT had a seven-point lead at the half, and MU's biggest lead was the final five-point margin, but everything else was within that gap. The Big Blue was the beneficiary of terrible outside shooting by the Engineers (4-18 beyond the arc) and the inability of RHIT to make it happen from the free-throw line in spite of numerous chances (22-34). The Big Blue won both the rebounding and turnover battles.

Congrats to the Big Blue on getting off of the schneid.

Carthage easily beat Caltech in Pasadena, 81-58, so the CCIW improves to 37-20 (.649).

Oh Boy! I'm definitely gonna get me a piece of the Chicago vs Wesleyan game as well as the NCC vs Wartburg game.  That's good stuff.

No video planned as of right now for Chicago/IWU due to break.  I've reached out to see if anything can be done about that...hope to know more soon.

Ooooh.  That's disappointing. I've got a family member that works for TNT.  Maybe I'll make a quick call.  😉

Really big game for IWU tomorrow vs the Maroons -- every bit as big as the Wash U game this past Saturday.  Significant Central Region ranking implications on the line.

Chicago is 8-1 with a buzzer beater loss to #13 North Park.  I'm very surprised the Maroons are not ranked in the poll that was just released -- http://www.d3hoops.com/top25/index.  I think Massey has it right with Chicago (#17) and IWU (#18) right next to each other.

There is a very good chance Chicago is a better team than Wash U this year.  The Maroons are big, deep, athletic, and can shoot the heck out of it from 3 (139-231, .440).
