I'm assuming Raridon is still out a few more weeks?  After watching Augie as much as I have, IMHO this will be the Alex Sorensen/Erwin Henry show with Sorenson pulling the Augie bigs beyond the arc and letting Henry go the work driving to score and kick.  I know NC has had trouble scoring, but quite honestly, Augie could be the perimeter medicine. I give advantage to NC at home.

After 1/7 we could be looking at anything from day to day to week to week to who knows.
Should he not be able to return this season, the possiblity of a medical "redshirt" comes into play as Connor would have been medically able to play in less than 1/3 of NCC's scheduled regular season games.

If the key to beating Augie is to take advantage of crappy perimeter defense, I suspect it will be Jagger Anderson driving to score or kick out, and Aiden Chang, Erwin Henry, Nick Chambers, and Matt Cappelletti letting go from distance. I sense Sorenson will have to primarily stay inside to combat Augie's plethora of bigs, and hopefully collect some offensive boards and deposit some putbacks. Might we see both Sorensen and Jack Bronec on the floor together at times with occasional relief by Jack Clausel? We'll see.

Against all but a couple of opponents, it scares me when someone says NCC has the advantage. Its difficult to comprehend how having a top player out can be construed as anything advantageous in any way, even at home.  ;)

Thanks for update Dr. Andone.

You're welcome. Unfortunately, someone evidently didn't like it as they dinged the diagnosis. I think it was Mikey. He hates everything.

Always fun to see that one again. I spent my entire childhood teasing my brother Mike about that Life cereal commercial.

I watched the last couple of minutes of the UWSP-NCC game last night.  I have no idea if UWSP had their full complement of players, but, I'd say that NCC would be quite favored in a rematch on a neutral court with Raridon in the lineup.  And, presumable different ref's in the last 40 seconds or so of play.

For what it's worth, UWSP is normally a 75% free throw shooting team. Had they shot their normal percentage instead of 60%, that would have been worth 6 more points... And an 8 point victory instead of 2.

I didn't realize that Connor Raridon had risen to Kent Raymond level and any (negative) results that occurred in his absence required an asterisk.

NCC is a good squad. They're 2-2 without Connor. But they were 5-2 with him. It wasn't like they were blowing the doors off of everybody.

And I hope that there is an NCC/UWSP rematch. That'll mean that this young Point team has exceeded expectations.

All in all, though, with how young both these squads are, they're both going to continue to improve this season and should be really good next year too.

John Gleich, you certainly know that one doesn't have to be a Kent Raymond to be missed.  If you are missing the guy with the most minutes per game, who is also the high scorer, and the second leading rebounder....any team will struggle to make up for him.  And, fans of that team likely will, at least in the back of their head, put an asterisk by a loss.

MU is pretty good, played hard.  The MU coach has a plan.  This MU team will be very good, very tough in a year or two, if these guys all stick with the program.  They played well tonight.

IWU to 10 wins, 10-3 and clawing their way back into the CCIW race at 2-2.  WC up next at The Shirk.

I see NPU and NCC lost tonight.

It was almost if Augie has been playing possum on the defensive end all year, especially behind the arc.  Sorensen and Henry got couple fouls early and Raridon sat them a majority of the first half and NCC was playing a bunch of Freshman and Sophmores throughout much of the game.  IMO Augie played its best game of the year defensively on the perimeter and continue to be relatively efficient offensively.  Fellas,  Nolan Ebel is starting to remind me a lot of Hunter Hill with his clutch shooting, ability to penetrate, run the offense and get to the line and convert (9-9 fts) .
