The fans arent on just one side. The fans cover the opposite side of the floor from the teams and west end of the court and the extend fairly high, going higher than the main stands.

Just a random question.....

Doesn't Michael Jordan look a bit pale in iwufan32's picture on his profile?

And I don't remember a team that Jordan played on that had white uniforms with green trim.  My eyes must be getting older.   ::)

JUSTINTYEM

Great question Joe, I was wondering the same thing!!!!

I was not crying...I was simply just saying that it is too bad that the NCAA decided to put the games where they are...More people could see the games if they would have choosen one of the other two venues...I don't think that is crying just pointing out the facts...GO AUGIE...and as much as it pains me iwu just so we can get rid of this kid from LU

I'm with Hoosier Titan, I'm more upset with the probablility of not being able to watch the IWU game as well as the Augie game.  It would be great to see two games on one long trip.

Brick

kid, man, woman...whatever...All you do is come on here and talk smack about how great appleton is and how the games are going to be so good at your place...I don't think anyonoe has "cried" about the games being in appleton, but people are upset that they won't be able to watch both games...thats all.  If the games were to be played at either Augie or IWU then people could watch 2 good games instead of one  on friday night.

Augie just put up ticket info on their website.  It look like the NCAA could be treating the sectional, with the split games, as a "two team site" which means a 50/50 split in the tickets.  IWU fans will have to wait as neither Lawrence nor IWU has posted info at this time.  Some pertinent info from Augie below:

Augustana has been allotted 500 tickets and the cost is $10.00 for adults and $5.00 for students with identification.

Augustana and Puget Sound will meet in the first game on Friday at 5:00 p.m. while Lawrence, 25-0 and ranked number one in the nation, will square off against 11th rated Illinois Wesleyan (22-6) in the second game, which will start at 8:00 p.m.

I'm assuming that's a 50/50 split for Augie-UPS, what is the split for the Lawrence game?  They aren't doing that 50/50 too are they?  I think it would be cool if they did, but I'm not sure the NCAA would go that far.

Correct - It appears to be a 50/50 split for Augie-UPS.  I have seen nothing as yet on Lawrence-IWU.  I think the NCAA will go that far.  I think it is the fair thing to do.  We will have to wait and see.

at least the NCAA is trying to take some steps towards getting as many fans from each school into the games...

Man i still wish that we could just get those two game either at the Shirk or Carver...i mean we hold way more...Just kidding JUSTINTYEM!

Looks good for the tickets then...hope we can get a bunch of Viking fans up to Larry U and see if we can get two huge ones this Fri/Sat!

JUSTINTYEM

Good luck to you guys and travel safe. And while you are up here you should visit the frozen tundra of Lambeau Field. Its a short drive up hwy 41 to get there. Its high school tourny time up here as well, maybe catch a high school game while you are in town.By the way your Illini head coach Bruce weber's older brother Ron lives just west of Appleton in Waupaca where he is the head Basketball coach.Ron was my high school coach.
