Augustana's first game back at Carver (pre season or reg season) since it's loss to Oskosh in last seasons elite 8.  Should be a great atmosphere.

Wednesday - #4 UW-Stevens Point at #5 Augustana.

That's pretty good.

That game is going to be pretty good regardless of the rankings. Point definitely isn't the 4th best team in the nation. In my opinion, that's more of a product of everyone losing in front of them. I actually thought their #12 ranking to start was a little high.

I moved UWSP up to 9th on my ballot. Their game style and defense early on is reminding me of the 2016 title team. That's scary if it holds to be true all season.

Just curious - which teams are definitely better than Point in your opinion?

Brady Rose has now scored 30+ points in three consecutive games.  I'm trying to think of the last IWU player to have done that and I don't know the answer.  In my 30 yrs following the program I don't think I've seen it.  I don't think either Korey Coon or Bryan Crabtree did it...but not 100%.  Rose is a pretty amazing player.

The last IWU player was Jeff Kuehl in 1988-89.  I was right - hadn't happened in my days around the program.  (I was a freshman the next year.)

Five IWU players have scored 30 3 consecutive games - Brady Rose, Jeff Kuehl, Blaise Bujajski, Greg Yess, Jack Sikma.  Pretty elite company for Brady here.

And here I thought NPU would go winless for the season.  Congrats on an outstanding game, Matt!

What's even more striking, to me anyway, is the 55% FG , 48% 3FG.  Even for just 6 games it's a very impressive stretch for a guard.

Watched this NPU game last night, wanted to see Oshkosh since they were so good last year in the tourney.  They were pretty good but I think they were bored later in the game and started chucking junk.  I went looking for another bag of Fritos but was equally unfulfilled.

NPU might want to change their mascot to the "Mites" based on the video stream I watched last night.  When Jack Flynn squared up it was a total eclipse of those two guards.  They looked like they were 5'3" and 5'5".  Quick but challenged against a team going  6-9 6-8 6-7 6-5 6-2 and bringing more length off the bench.

If Oshkosh is really not the best team in the WIAC, as some have suggested,  then the WIAC champ ought to get an auto bid to Final Four.  Size and skill pretty high, when focused.

Thanks for listening.

I thought Semling got canned?  Must have been reinstated?

Will definitely watch this as my D3 game of the week.  My prediction is Augustana 77, Pointers 63.  Will stock up on Fritos and queso.   Celery and Nutella for my girlfriend who will watch with me if its a Top 10 game.  Set up a 65" TV this year so excited for the stream.

Anybody else having problems with the Augie live feed??  I am getting nothing, live stats won't even work.  I think that I have problems with schools' live feed more times than I don't have problems throughout the year.

Not working for me here in LA either.  No live stats.  Video starts then cuts out, stops.  Sad.

SP up 38-32 at the half, in the 10 second snippet I saw.

Finally got it to work.

AC over SP in OT by 2.

Great game.  Augie made the plays in the last 15 seconds to win.

Nice win for Augie, going to see what we can do with the rest of the Nutella.   Good night.

Whew!  What a great game.  Ebel generally struggles but makes the big shots when it counted.  Point's Nate Dodge has an unbelievable game, 40 pts,  but misses a critical free throw in the OT.  Pointers certainly had their chances in Reg and OT.
