When NJCU played Amherst in the sweet sixteen at F&M two years ago they brought a nice healthy sized group of fans.  I think they will travel nicely to VA.  VWU should have a very large contingent on hand also, it is basically a home game for them.  If I was the AD I would be working on a plan to get as many students to the Salem as possible.

It's a 5½-hour trip from Virginia Beach to Salem, only about a half-hour shorter than the trip from Wittenberg.

We used to make the drive from Norfolk in 4 to 4 1/2 hours without speeding that excessively.  We didn't take 64 all the way into Richmond either, we looped below Richmond through the country roads that a shipmate from outside of salem knew.

I don't think you can count on a fan bus to do that. :)

This is not a Final Four question, but an IHSA Elite Eight question.  I am going to be in Peoria this weekend to see the Class AA finals and was wondering if there were any CCIW recruits playing there.  It's been a pretty amazing month for me - an alum of Schaumburg High School (in Elite Eight), IWU (Final Four) and was an assistant SID at SIU Edwardsville (DII Elite Eight), and a lifelong Illini fan (we'll see).  I wish I could be four places this weekend, but had the trip to Peoria planned long ago.

It has been in Chicago papers that IWU is recruiting Glenbrook North's 6-7/225 Zach Kelly.  Kelly has been quoted as saying he is down to D1 Lafayette, IWU, and Wash U.  Kelly's cousin is Sean Wallis, the Glenbrook North point-guard IWU lost to Wash U last year.

Kelly plays in the shadows of one the best high school basketball players in the country, Duke-bound Jon Scheyer.  Kelly is good, but he is not Zach Freeman.

I've heard the entire CCIW, literally, is on Senaca point-guard Garrett Callahan (16.5 pts, 4.8 reb, 4.4 assists).  Seneca won the Class A title last weekend, going undefeated on the year.  Callahan would be an All-American D3 point-guard of the Adam Dauksas caliber.  D2 Lewis has offered him a full-ride already.  Callahan is the best player from Seneca since Mark Aubry....and of course, Mary Aubry is a Titan.  I gotta believe that angle is being worked in B-town!

What time is the D3/IWU/Lincoln special on ESPN tonight??

Ryan Scott (Hoops Fan)

I believe its 1:40am EST, but it could be 12:40am.  Either way its really late.

For Bloom'ton/Normal Insight cable TV customers with the expanded sports package, CSTV (College Sports TV) is on channel 412. I assume that some sports bars in Bloom'ton/Normal have this package. So maybe local IWU fans can watch the championship game somewhere in Bloom'ton/Normal at 4 pm Saturday.

According to ESPN TV listings, "Outside the Lines" is scheduled at 12:40 Eastern on ESPN2, and then again at 1:40 Eastern on regular ESPN.

That's a 12:40 p.m. listing on Thursday, not a 12:40 tonight. (Remember, too, those are EST.)

I just listened to the archive of Adam Dauksas on Hoopsville last night.  The kid was really, really good.

IWU has a heck of a leader there.

Just listened to Wittenberg coach Bill Brown on the Hoopsville archive.  He was talking about the NCAA tape exchange policy and how each school in the Final 4 had to send its Saturday tape to the other 3 teams.  I had to laugh at the thought of the other teams getting the chaos that was IWU vs Puget Sound.  In a small way, that has to benefit IWU in that their opponents get a tape of a game that doesn't reflect their style at all.

I assume the CCIW has a policy of not giving tapes to CCIW tournament opponents (so Augie isn't going to send a tape on IWU to Va Wesleyan).  I wonder how many non-conf tapes each team ends up rounding up on the other teams.

I also listened to the interview with Adam.  It's clear he knows how to handle the media and the questions as well as handling the ball.  A great spokesman for IWU and for DIII basketball as a whole.  Adam, my congrats to you and time to bring home the hardware!!!

Good luck to all the Titans and all the Titan fans this weekend.

Go Titans.

Pat, if it's listed as 12:40 Thursday, wouldn't that make it "tonight?"  In other words, during the period of time after the sun goes down this afternoon, before it rises in the morning?  Or is it for the "night" after this one? (i.e. tomorrow night... Thursday night).

Just trying to clarify, because I want to see it.

... seriously, though, who am I kidding... I'm always up that late anyway and catch not only OTL, but the late, and the late, late SportsCenters.

... and usually see it again in the morning... interestingly, most highlights become less exciting the 5th time you've seen them.  The ones that don't are the ones that are truly special!

It's literally tomorrow morning but it's fiscal tonight. :)

But remember, two showings, one seven hours from now, one about 18 hours from now.

That's weird Pat, because earlier when I checked, it showed the 12:40 am EST listing for Outside the Lines on ESPN2 tonight (Wednesday night, Thursday morning).  Now, though, it says they will be showing a PacLife tennis match at that time.  They must not have updated their website earlier today.
