I'm trying to figure out which I'm more excited for: facing the defending champs for possession of The BeltTM (assuming at least that this is Oshkosh's first game or they beat whoever they play before NCC) or getting to announce a men's System game.

This summer, the Cardinals basketball players are doing workouts with the NCC track team.

How about a BeltTM system game if the Sons of Warden can win the opener?

Augustana will host UW-Oshkosh November 9 for an early quest for The BeltTM.  Wouldn't it be great for the CCIW to hold onto The BeltTM all season long.    8-)

With as many times as the WIAC has won National Titles in basketball in the last couple of decades, I think we only loan out The Belt.

I'm getting way ahead of myself, and will need to run this through the proper channels, but I'd put in for naming rights for 2019-20 and call it The #THREEEEEEEEETM BeltTM. (I'm trademarking "#THREEEEEEEEE" now before the weasels get to it.)

Lucas, it's insidious that your link takes readers back to the first page of The BeltTM's board on d3boards.com.

There will be employers who won't get a full day's work out of their employees today, thanks to you.

There will probably also be some employees who get caught laughing out loud in their cubicles.

North Central will kick off it's 2019-2020 schedule by hosting National Champion Wisconsin-Oshkosh on Tues., Nov 12th at 7 PM. NOTE, this game may be moved to Wed., 11/13.

The Cardinals non-conference schedule is as follows;

Tues, 11/12 — Wisconsin-Oshkosh
Fri, 11/15 — Greenville U
Tues, 11/26 — Benedictine
Sat, 11/30 — Vs TBA @ Kalamazoo Tournament
Sun, 12/1 — Vs TBA @ Kalamazoo Tournament
Wed, 12/11 — @ Aurora
Sat, 12/28 — Vs Sul Ross State @ Texas Shootout in Austin, TX
Sun, 12/29 — Vs Concordia (TX) @ Texas Shootout

The Cardinals have one more non-con game to schedule.

NCC has now scheduled it's 9th and final non-con game vs. Rose-Hulman on 11/25. Rather unusual for the Cardinals to be playing two non-tournament games on consecutive days.

Full Elmhurst schedule.

https://elmhurstbluejays.com/schedule.aspx?path=mbball

They'll get a shot at the defending champs in November, and will be traveling to what looks like Southern California just before Christmas.

No opponents from the MIAA or former IIAC, which is very rare, if not unheard of, for Elmhurst. Also, no non-conference game vs Benedictine which is somewhat of a staple for them.

Looking at 2019-20 (is it really gonna be 2020?), my best guess at IWU's starting lineup...

G - Grant Wolfe, 5-11/175 Jr.
G - Keondre Schumacher, 6-0/175 So.
G - Pete Lambesis, 6-4/190 So.
F - Doug Wallen, 6-5/210 Jr.
C - Alex O'Neill, 6-9/245 Sr

Top other guys competing for spots:
C - Matt Leritz, 6-6/220 So.
PF - Charlie Bair, 6-7/205 Jr.
PG - Luke Yoder, 6-0 Fr.
SG - Cory Noe, 6-2/165 So.
SF - Cody Mitchell, 6-6/200 Fr.
G/F - Max Muller, 6-6/200 Jr.
PG - Bernie Coderre, 6-4/200 Sr.

While no more than just a late-June guess, seems to me those are IWU's top players.

The Titans will look dramatically different on the perimeter, going from big and physical (Rose, Bonnett, Gregoire) to small, but extremely quick, athletic, and defensive-minded.  The one thing I have heard Ron Rose consistently say about Schumacher is basically that quote from the Pantagraph: "He will be as fast as anybody at our level."  Cory Noe is a guy I am keeping a close eye on - combo guard that can really shoot it.  And I'm excited to see Grant Wolfe lead the team as PG - I really like Wolfe.

IWU will have a lot of talent in the post, just a matter of sorting out roles it seems.  Doug Wallen is a really talented combo forward, and I'm a big fan of 6-6 F/C Matt Leritz.  6-9 Alex O'Neill might be the X-factor for the Titans - so much talent but had a very inconsistent 2018-19 season.

As far as newcomers, in additional to Schumacher, I believe freshmen Luke Yoder (PG) and Cody Mitchell (SF/PF) have a strong chance to make the varsity rotation next year.

Looking forward to seeing how it plays out.

Q, thanks for the early assessment.  Titans will surely have a new look in 2020.  A break out year for Doug Wallen?

All best from hot hot hot Hong Kong, my beloved city in tumult and turmoil.

Back to IWU soon -- for football and fall glory.
