Saw the ESPN snippet thi morning at 6 something.  A 30 second snippet of LU in their game vs. IWU.  Kroeger drains an impressive 3.  But alas, we lost, oh well.  They had to show those dweebs with the 25-1 shirts.  Classless.

I don't know first hand, but from what I have heard out of other people, that t-shirt stuff sounds about right for the many of the folks from IWU.

I think IWU is likely to win it all, however, should they not. That might be a time for a road trip with many "4th Place" shirts to be worn. Be proud of the 25-1 shirt jackasses. Soon you may be in the MWC. Heard it from more than one source.

I heard the CCIW was breaking up and the IWU Titans were moving to the MWC along with Carthage, Elmhurst and Augustana so there will be a North/South in the MWC.    

Any truth to this rumour?

After all the BS from the IWU fans last weekend, can you imagine when they have to travel to LU for a conference tourney?  We'll lineup the KC Depends and Kleenex trucks outside the Alex.

On a serious note, what kind of BS are you talking about regarding IWU fans?  I was just kind of curious what happened at the Alex that I really didn't notice.  I guess I really didn't pay attention.  In my opinion, all sets of fans whined a bit, but the reffing overall was pretty subpar. 

I hope you have a serious response and viewpoint...not any of this, "They were all #$$holes" or anything like that.  Do you have any specific conduct? 

Then in response, I would give the IWU fans that traveled up there (if they aren't all in Salem) a chance to defend their actions, if need be.  Just curious.

Yeah, Pat, I can't believe the reaction to those shirts.  I've been to a lot of D3 games over the past 10 years, and I can't believe that's what is considered "classless".

Every game I've been to, no matter where (including LU), all the kids in the audience get the benefit of a few bull*!&# chants.

The only place I've been to where students counterfeited tickets forcing paying customers to stand in the corner was in this year's sweet 16.

At UW-Whitewater, I heard profanities coming out of the student section that I can't believe were allowed by their own administration.

And the thing that's getting termed "classless" are the couple of students who made shirts insinuating their team just drove 500 miles and beat the number one team in the nation.  No profanities, nothing offensive, just simple t-shirts?

I do hope the LU administration addresses the counterfeit ticket issue, I also think the NCAA should press them to address it.  That is something that should not be allowed, I also think that LU should not be allowed to host for a few years because of it.  It is a D-III school, they have bright students, it is something they should have had the foresight to consider it could possibly happen.  Maybe the NCAA needs to send proprietary card stock to all the participating schools to print tickets on to prevent this sort of incident from happening again.

anyways, good luck to the Titans tonight.  As for the championship tomorrow, fingers crossed and knocking on wood that IWU make it, but I am going to talk to the owner of The Globe Pub (www.theglobepub.com) and make him put the D3 championship game on TV there.  I watch Arsenal (soccer) there every weekend and I know the owners fairly well, so I'm sure it will not be a problem.  I am not sure if I will have time to post on here if they will have the game on or not.  The Globe is located on Irving Park Rd just east of Damen in Chicago, IL.  It is right down the street from the Irving Park Rd Brown Line Stop.

Honestly, the GC-LU game I went to this year was the first time I'd ever heard it from a large segment of the fan base, and I've been to hundreds of d3 games.  Maybe its a Midwest thing; man are those stereotypes wrong.  Everytime I've heard it in New England, it was a few drunk frat guys trying to start it and who ended up being throw out of the gym by administration.

Maybe the NCAA needs to send proprietary card stock to all the participating schools to print tickets on to prevent this sort of incident from happening again.

Maybe the NCAA should just have a stock ticket template so that schools don't print tickets that are so easy to duplicate.

Kind of ironic considering the only people on this board that are crying and moaning are LU supporters.
