I would like to say, and I think I speak for Greg, that anyone who wants to call out Chuck for saying something dumb is cool with me.

I am really only here to defend myself.

Thank you for your support. :P

The only bright side to the night was the Titan/Thunder JV game. Two, highly competitive and closely matched teams playing like it was for a conference championship. Both teams shot the lights out and the bigs battled in the paint. It was inspiring basketball. It was close until the final 5 minutes when the Titans final built a meaningful lead. I didn't see any stats, but I'm guessing Markgraff pumped in 25 points. The dude could not miss. The only time I saw Wheaton's coach get anxious in the varsity game was when Markgraff came in in the final 7 minutes. He shouted to re-arrange the defense to get the right guy guarding Margraff

Great! A Titans JV report!

Looks like somebody has been sipping from iwu70's cup of oolong tea. ;)

I'm not sure what is wrong with providing comments on CCIW men's basketball JV play here on the CCIW men's basketball board.

It's almost as bad as IWU baseball, or IWU women's basketball...

There's nothing wrong with it, per se. It just seems a little ... much. As mwunder said, it's not quite as bad as talking about a different sport. But, c'mon ... it's JV, for crying out loud. Besides, I used to razz iwu70 when he'd talk about Titans JV games back in the day, so it's only fair that I be consistent. ;)

I also tend to doubt that Mike Schauer felt a big knot of anxiety in his stomach when Ron Rose sent in a Titans JV player towards the end of a Wheaton blowout win. I think that Ultimate Titans Fan may have mistaken Mike's typical sideline look for anxiety. Mike's game face always makes him look like the guy who inadvertently bit into the Marzipan Surprise piece from a box of mixed chocolates.

Mr. Ypsi

I, for one, appreciate JV reports (and would even for teams not named Titans).  They give at least a slight hint of future attractions.

And where else are we gonna hear about JV results?

Gregory Sager

Perhaps your classmate and/or UTF could start an Illinois Wesleyan JV men's basketball blog. ;)

Heck, I work JV games as the scorer, and even I can't remember what happened in them five minutes after I'm done adding up the columns and writing the results into the scorebook.

I completely agree with Mr. Ypsi.

You guys are always welcome to post JV results on the UAA thread, where it is always a slow news day...

Otherwise, thanks for the thoughts on Elmhurst and Carthage.

The Central Region is going to be a _____.

Be careful what you wish for. I'm not going to name names, but certain people have the power to offload CCIW JV posts onto the UAA board. :D

Just want to add, it was inspired basketball on both ends. Wheaton JV was a joy to watch.

iwu70

I'm with Ypsi, as usual.  Plus oolong tea is nice . . .

Greg, get with the program.

LOL  :)

Looks like the Varsity TITANS could use a bit of that JV sauce.

Carthage won't be any easier Saturday evening.
