Totally understand where you're coming from. I'd bet there are a good number of other Division III players could average 10 points per game in the MVC, though.

It's really more than stats, though.  Tim Wendel has a decent chance to be an All-American, Oma Jammaleddine probably doesn't.  Both are in weaker conferences.  If you can play, you can play.  It's one of the reasons I'm glad we get lots of regional input for our all-region teams.  No one can possibly see enough of every candidate to make those kids of calls.

I don't consider the tournament to have started each year until I read this.

Appears it's 39-32 Elmhurst at the half.  The Bluejays had a larger lead and Lycoming chipped away.

EC going to need a strong 2nd half to win this one.

Elmhurst with a strong 2nd half push,  up by 20 with 4:21 left.  Baines starting to empty the bench.

Glad to see they will be able to advance.

Elmhurst routed Lycoming,  97-73. The Bluejays, who led wire-to-wire, kept a double-digit lead throughout the second half and finished with a robust shooting line of .574/.500/.737. Dotlich scored 18, Thomas added 17, and Rhode put in 15.

Congrats to Coach Baines and the EC team for advancing to the round of 32.  Keep going.  Get to the second weekend.

Sounds like the NCAA has put the muzzle on Lucas's trademark "Three!" call.

That takes a little bit of fun out of the airplane hangar experience.

North Central 69
Adrian 54

Too much D from NCC for Adrian's liking, as the Bulldogs only shot .315 from the field. Their two 20-point-averaging superstars, Jordan Harris and Jeremy Kalonji, combined for only 10-35 from the field. That's your ballgame, right there.
