Q, great news on the Oregon trip.  Glad to hear it, two quality games against quality programs.  My son now lives in Portland, OR. so perhaps I'll make a Christmas trip out that way and take in the two TITAN games!   Such a tremendously beautiful part of the country, along the Columbia River Gorge and out on the coast too.

Hope all CCIW Chatsters are staying safe and well.

I haven't decided yet whether I like it or not.

It's different. I'll give them that.

Shades of Boise State?   Not sure I can go with it . . . Big Blue is OK, up to a point.  :(

My speculation is that a dark floor is probably bad for still photos of game action, maybe for video too.
Perhaps still photographers can compensate by using settings for reduced contrast.
I'd be interested to hear from videographers and photogs on this issue.
(I shorten photographer to photog because I was amused when Joe Friday did so on Dragnet)

WUPHF

The darker floors can make photography more difficult, but there are ways around it.

For example, Oglethorpe has a glossy-black floor and so they use photos such as:

You can also sit on the floor.

Pat Coleman

Sitting on the floor is actually a great place to shoot basketball. My dad taught me that way back in the film days. :)

I was thinking that for floor-level photography, there'd be less light reflected upward. Also, perhaps some blue hue would alter skin tones.
We wouldn't want anyone to get blue in the face over it!

Bob, you left out Jordan Boyd, plus the kid from up north of Green Bay that I added here last week:

Payton Nelson, a 6'1 guard from Coleman (WI) High School, has deposited at North Park.

He won't play varsity right away, but Tom Slyder likes his potential. Big, solid, athletic kid who was a football standout as well.

All I saw on Jordan Boyd is speculation here - nothing "official" from the kid.  I checked his Twitter and no tweet about committing to North Park.  So I didn't include him.

Just now I sent him a direct message on Twitter to ask if NPU is official.  He responded, "I will make my decision next Monday or Tuesday."

Mr. Ypsi

Went into a building other than my own house for the first time in 2+ months this evening!  A gas station/party store for cigs etc.  I was quite appalled that the clear majority of customers (and one of the clerks) were not wearing masks and generally not distancing (to their credit, they had put up plexiglass screens for the clerks).
