Final from Tarble:

Carroll 69
Carthage 59

It was a two-point game at 59-57 going into the stretch run, but the Pios ripped a 10-0 run to upend the hosts.

No Fillip Bulatovic for Carthage tonight. Injury? COVID casualty?
So young hero, ask yourself............................Do you want to go to college, get a good education, and play (basketball)(football), or do you want to go to college, get a good education, and watch (basketball)(football)? 🤔 😏

Don't surround yourself with yourself. 🧍🏼‍♂️(Yes)

Bulatovic was out due to injury (they mentioned lower body injury on the broadcast).  He is expected to play against NC this week.

#53882
Elmhurst 80
North Park 68

Mike Osborne: 25 pts, 6 rebs
Toby Marek: 17 rebs, 3 stls, 3:1 a:to
Jordan Boyd: 10 pts, 6 rebs
Izaiah Sanders: 6 rebs, 6:0 a:to

Jay Millitello: 23 pts, 9 rebs, 3:0 a:to
Jonathan Zapinski: 14 pts, 6 rebs
Bryce Drews: 14 pts, 3:1 a:to
Ocean Johnson: 14 pts

Vikings led for a good chunk of the game, but faded down the stretch. EU just played smarter and harder late in the game, playing to their strengths by posting up the smaller Vikings with multiple players, as the 'jays pulled away in the last few minutes.

Great breakout game by NPU freshman Mike Osborne.

Greg, another typical quality broadcast, made even better by the addition of the scoreboard inset up in the top right corner. Very appreciative of that. Nice upgrade.

Osborne has a very mature game - likely the most fundamentally sound player on the team.

In me, or in the inclusion of the scoreboard inset? ;)

Thanks, Pete. We're slowly but surely making improvements to our broadcast over here... Luckily, Greg (and now Scot Gladstone, as well) have tried to act as a "verbal clock" for our audience at home, reporting how much time is left whenever they can. Glad they don't have to deal with that anymore!

Hoping to have multiple camera views by next winter... may mess around with that for baseball/softball season.

Thanks to all of you that tune in.

I watched the second half of the North Park game.  Someone needs to teach how to make a layup and play defense.  I know that a missed trey attempt tends to create a longer rebound, but watching the players backtrack after the shot and the shooter not following his shot is completely inexcusable, leading to too many uncontested defensive rebounds  The Vikings lack fundamentals, among other glaring pieces.

Szuba played fundamentally sound ball; however, his best year occurred as a freshman and then his shot went caput.

Yes!  I meant to add a +1 compliment on the scoreboard insert also.  Always slight frustration that the scoreboard was blocked by the left basket.  Small but significant improvement.
