Hopefully the 2021-2022 National Champs won't pick up any Covid bugs in NYC. I can't think of anyplace else where its probably any more likely to get bitten.
Keep those masks on!
So young hero, ask yourself............................Do you want to go to college, get a good education, and play (basketball)(football), or do you want to go to college, get a good education, and watch (basketball)(football)? 🤔 😏

Don't surround yourself with yourself. 🧍🏼‍♂️(Yes)

It's hard to tell because both teams sites mention their next games are still tentatively on—Friday for NP and Sat for Eureka.
NPU's last scheduled game vs Dominican was also postponed so perhaps the bug has bitten the City guys as opposed to those in Eureka?

The way games have been cancelled lately, it seems as though it does not matter much as far as forecasting future games.

No, it wasn't. It was canceled. Take another look at the NPU online men's basketball schedule and the NPU press release.

Your speculation is unfounded.

Alas, hence use of the word perhaps, used when one does not wish to be too definite or assertive in the expression of an opinion.  :D

They should be playing the Hope vs. NCC game on ice skates. The floor in that gym is so slippery that players' feet are coming out from under them with regularity. Somebody could get seriously hurt.

Hope wins in overtime, 89-84. Fun game between two evenly-matched teams. It came down to the first couple of minutes of OT; Hope made a pair of big treys, while at the other end of the floor North Central momentarily lost the plot. The ensuing cushion proved too much for the Cardinals to overcome the rest of the way.

Berry Vikings  78
Wheaton  72
* Nashville

Cade Alioth    21 pts, 5 rebs
Nyameye Adom  17 pts, 5 rebs
Luke Anthony  14 pts
Tyson Cruickshank  11 pts 4 asst

Chase Ellis    20 pts, 5 rebs
Austin Brooks 12 pts 7 rebs
Robbie Rusciano 13 pts 5 rebs

Wheaton came out very cold.  They fell behind 9-0 and by as much as 14 pts early in the game.  They had to fight uphill and hard the rest of the way against a very good Berry team.  Led by Alioth they came out stronger and eventually got the lead by 1 with about 8 mins left.  But they seemed to use so much energy in that stretch that they couldn't extend or keep it going.  The Thunder really had a hard time getting a key defensive stop on the Vikings when they needed it.  Still, they had their chances with a few key missed free throws doing them in.

Alioth picked up his 2nd foul 3 minutes into the game and sat the rest of the first half.  But he came out with a vengeance and scored all 21 of his points in the second 20 mins.  Adom's 17 pts were not very efficient going 5-16 from the field.

Berry played better.  They have lots of height with two 6'8' forwards in Brooks and Bryce Clark along with 6'10" Ryan Segall.  Combine that with good guard play from Chase Ellis and Wheaton had a hard time defending them, especially with Alioth out.

Officiating was pretty tight and both teams were in the double bonus with 8 minutes left in the game.  The Vikings did a slightly better job of being aggressive and taking advantage of that.  27 free throws for Wheaton vs 36 for Berry.

Loved the interview, Q.  Good luck out at Yeshiva!   We'll all be watching and cheering on the TITANS!

Rough day for the CCIW at Welch College in suburban Nashville. It started out fine, as Carroll snapped a six-game losing streak by prevailing over Simpson, 70-62. Once again Paul Combs had the Pios spin the turnstiles, as eleven different players saw double-digit minutes for CU, thirteen Pios in total getting playing time. Josh Hudgens led the way with 13, while Justin Gruber added 12 and 6 and Trenton Nickel also scored in double figures with 10. Carroll advances to 4-8 on the season.

As GoPerry described, things went off the rails in the second match, with Wheaton going down in defeat to Berry. Wheaton dropped to 10-2 in the process.

The third game at Welch's Student Activities center involved Carthage and Tufts. After the two teams went into the locker rooms at the half tied at 35-all, the Firebirds faltered in the second half and ended up losing to a very solid Jumbos outfit, 81-70. The reigning NESCAC Player of the Year, 6'8, 230 Luke Rogers, proved too much for Carthage to handle inside in the second half, while the Firebirds offense shot an anemic .347/.233/.500 line that prevented them from keeping up. Fillip Bulatovic led the way for CC with 17 and 11, but he shot a miserable 8-23 from the field. Colton Sigel had 11, while Nemi Ostojic and Crishawn Cook had ten apiece in the losing effort. Getting Cook back is the consolation prize for the Firebirds, as he's been out of action since mid-November with an injury. Carthage is now 6-6.

The CCIW will try to atone for today at Welch on Thursday, as Carroll takes on Nazareth at 11 am, followed by Carthage versus Berry at 3 pm and then Wheaton against Edgewood at 5.

Greg already touched on the poor shooting woes for Carthage, but the numbers that jumped out to me was Carthage attempted 22 more field goals than Tufts and still lost by 11.

That's really brutal.

@NathanBoldt3
I'm excited to announce I have committed to Illinois Wesleyan University. Go Titans!

Ron Rose and the Titans have landed 6-10 F Nathan Boldt of Barrington HS.

I think this is a biggie.  I don't expect him to play as FR, but certainly after that.  Huge upside.
