Quote from: Titan Q on October 03, 2006, 06:14:38 PMYes, I think there is a tremendous gap between the league Keelan is in and the top European leagues...and probably an even bigger gap between the top European leagues and the NBA.  There are a ton of really good former American D1 players in Europe who have never gotten an NBA shot.  So, I see Keelan's ceiling as a good player in a good European league.  His skill set, size, and game really seems to be a good fit for the style of play over there.

I thought the same thing as I watched him play over the past four years: "This guy is tailor-made for a decent European pro team."

No, it's between the hate-to-shop gene and the yell-at-the-TV-set-during-a-game gene.

I've got that last one in spades.  I even yell at sit-coms.

The "yell at the TV gene during games" gene can't be only on the Y chromosome, cause I totally do that too sometimes. :D And you should hear me listening to WETN broadcasts, it's pretty funny, let me tell you. There was the time I was screaming "yesss!!" and "wooohoo!" in the office, the whole time during that game Wheaton beat IWU at the Shirk by 12. And my roommates still tease me about this one time my junior year cause I was in my room cross legged on my bed making random cheers and groans at the radio (and you know, "coaching tips") during a game Wheaton lost @ Millikin. Apparently I was so loud everyone in the appartment could hear them. And when I went out of the room to grab a glass of water during halftime they all burst out laughing. :-[

Although it's admittedly a little more like exasperated rather than angry like the average guy yelling at the TV thing (which can get a little scary!).  :o

I heard Phoebe Cates went to Ripon in the MWC.  Is that true?

Who cares what she did after leaving Ridgemont High.   ;D

I'm pretty sure she went to Private School after leaving Ridgemont High.

Wasn't that Brooke Shields?  Or did Phoebe Cates do a rip-off of Blue Lagoon (totally not out of the realm of possibility)?

Apparently my cynicism was well founded.  Phoebe Cates did star in a Blue Lagoon rip off.  Also interesting to note, apparently they let her do nude scenes in this movie even though she was underage because they "were in serious scenes that fit within the storyline, nothing gratuitous."

I can't imagine that would fly in today's world.
