I thought the line of banter here was that it was the location of the game that was "important" and not the location of the team.

Actually, Pat, if you'll recall NCAA rules, what matters is the location of the team... they could even play in mongolia  :D  ;)

Wait, dunks are only worth two points?!?!!!? Why does anyone do them? - diehardfan
What are Parkers now supposed to chant after every NP vs WC game, "Let's go enjoy tobacco products off-campus? - Gregory Sager

Devildog,

I can take care of in-game updates for you.  Any requests as to how often you'd like them?

uva_iwu

titanfan,

Perhaps an update every 5-7 min. of game clock time or so....

Thanks.

titanfan

No problem!  I'll be in the in-game updates room.

OK you walking record books -- Who was the All-American guard at Marquette passed over by the Olympic selection process, who then played for P.R. in the Olympics and almost single handedly beat the U.S.?

Incidentally, calling yourself (as a state) a 'commonwealth' doesn't make it a commonwealth.

The only other sovereign states within U.S. boundaries are reservations.

The UK has been trying field a unified team for a while now, but their petitions keep getting knocked down by FIFA.  Certainly the best of Scotland, England, Northern Ireland and Wales would be instant favorites if they were combined...

Not if they still let Beckham try penalties!  :D

David, I think that a lot of this is by the choice of the Puerto Ricans. Although there is a substantial number of them who would prefer statehood, and a smaller number that would prefer independence, the majority of them continue to vote to retain commonwealth status. Whether that means that they're "part of the United States" is a matter of semantics.
Puerto Rico is part of the United States of America.  It is not any more a matter of semantics than whether a non-conference game is "preseason" or not.   ;)  The rights and obligations of Puerto Ricans are different from those of Ohioans (although our votes for president don't count either  ::)), but Puerto Rico is a Commonwealth of the United States and is thus a part of this country, and will be so long as they continue to vote for commonwealth status (or for statehood.)  If Puerto Rico were invaded by Cuba, you can bet your bottom dollar (the currency of Puerto Rico) that it would be declared unpatriotic to suggest that Puerto Rico is not "part of the United States."

Why does Guam always get the short end of the stick when it comes to discussion about US territories?  What about Guam, man, what about Guam?
Hail, Hail, the gang's all here, all out for Wesleyan!

How about a nice job for Augie? A 20 point road win with a starter not playing isn't dog meat.

Any word from Millikin or North Park?

So far, it looks like a good day for the CCIW!
