CCIW Chat posters, readers and lurkers.  We could use some more participation on the women's CCIW board.

We'll let it go this time, but just you watch yourself, mister. We don't take kindly to euphoric incoherence in these here parts.

Euphoric Incoherence... now that is a post name!  Jaybird?   :P ::) ;D

I'm sure there would be many who would vote for ME to take the name! ;D

But, sorry, I'm still Mr. Ypsi.

The heck with Euphoric Incoherence. I'm still hoping to see someone in the CCIW football room lose a bet and be forced to call himself Mr. Ypsi's Female Dog.

Greg, that is the first time in weeks I have burst into out-loud laughter!  +k

To others, the euphemism apparently really IS the current bet. ;D

[You'll have to check the football board to find the back-story. ;)]

Okay, you guys win. I apologize for my incoherent post. Perhaps it was caused by the euphoria of Augie's great comeback. In the future I'll try to be cogent and insightful in all my posts like everyone else on the board.

Another victory! Mugsy, I believe I am ahead of you by 6 now.  ;)

Ah... I beg to differ.  That is only 5. :P

Three games today at the Shirk Center.  The IWU women, ranked #1 in the USA Today/ESPN poll and #2 by D3hoops.com, face Carthage at 2:00pm.  At 5:15, an alumni men's team, led by Keelan Amelianovich, will take on the Titan JV's.  And at 7:30pm, the Titan men (8-4, 0-1) host North Central (9-3, 1-0).

Would have liked to have made the trip for those games.  It started snowing at 11:30 am Friday here outside Ann Arbor.  It's now 5 pm Saturday.  Except for a hour or two, the snow has not stopped yet.

Just put in a call to IWU '05 grad Jake Sheley to get a check on the IWU alumni vs JV game.  Turns out Jake is coaching to alumni team...which I didn't know.  It was halftime and he answered his cell phone.  First of all, should a coach be answering his cell at halftime??

When I asked for a score, he told me it was 34-34 and quickly added, "Keelan's terrible - here talk to him."  So he put Keelan Amelianovich on the phone, who told me he was "about 0-8 from 3."  I told him to keep shooting, but I'm quite sure I didn't need to.

Being a displaced Titan fan nowadays, I appreciated this up-close, in-game access.  Later I'll expect to talk to Ron Rose and Travis Rosenkranz at halftime of the North Central game.

Titan Q

North Central winning at the Shirk Center is not a huge shock, but the way this 2nd half has played out is shocking.  IWU has 19 pts in the 2nd half with 2:30 left?

IWU just got dominated at the Shirk Center in the 2nd half.  The Titans go from contenders to pretenders in a hurry.

Very disappointing.

Mr. Ypsi

Going to double OT - Elmhurst 75, Millikin 75.

Impressive wins for Carthage and NCC tonight, and Millikin is giving Elmhurst all they can handle. TOs are again hurting Elmhurst and were a big reason for Augie's loss tonight. Carthage was also virtually flawless at the FT line down the stretch and never let Augie get within striking distance.

I'd be interested in hearing from Dansand about Jordan Delp's play. He just doesn't appear to have recovered from his serious injury last year. Perhaps he's lost a step, as his offenive performance since the first two games hasn't been up to his pre-injury standards. Augie really needs him to get his game back.

Millikin about to finish the night of upsets - up 8 w/ 9 seconds to go.

MU wins by 7.  Unless Wheaton really can keep it going, I think the CCIW winner will have at least 4 losses - the league is tough.
