I know my eyes are getting a little worse every year, but are my eyes that bad or did 23-2, 8th ranked Buena Vista not even make it to the field?!  We thought the teams in Wheaton's bracket got it stuck to them.  Imagine how they're feeling out at Buena Vista this morning!

Well I for one am shocked that Elmhurst is able to host.
Elmhurst gets to host because Wash U's women got priority over the men in Rounds 1/2.  (The men get priority in the Sectional.)

TQ,
Have you had a chance to see Fontbonne play at all this year?  I can only guess the way that Wheaton matches up with them based on common opponents and rosters.  Seems like Wheaton will have the size at all the positions but center (even there).

Thank you Titan Q for the info.  I was already pumping gas ready for a 1st round road trip.  ;)

Well I for one am shocked that Elmhurst is able to host.  I was still a little uncertain we were even going to make the tournament.

Elmhurst's bracket is stacked, however beggars can't be choosers, and I am grateful we were admitted.

Good luck to Wheaton and hope both teams can go to the Elite for a rematch.

I have seen Fontbonne twice - @ Wash U and vs Elmhurst.  They are a solid basketball team.

Fontbonne could have beaten Wash U.  It was a very, very close game the entire way and the Griffins only trailed by about 1 with a couple minutes left.  They proceeded to turn it over 2-3 times and Wash U closed it out.  Against Elmhurst, Fontbonne hung around for about 30 minutes, but the Bluejays won comfortably.  Elmhurst had too much size - they just had no answer for Ruch.

Fontbonne has outstanding guard play (guys who could play for any CCIW team) and a couple nice interior players...the problem is that their interior players are big for the SLIAC, but really undersized vs a top CCIW team.  I don't see how Fontbonne will be able to deal with Wiele, Carwell, and McCrary.  Also, Raymond is much bigger and more physical than their guards - the Griffins will have big trouble with him (as everyone does).

Fontbonne is a veteran team that went on the road last year in the tournament and almost knocked off Mary Hardin-Baylor (@ Milsaps) - lost by 3.  Physically, they will be overmatched, but a veteran team playing with nothing to lose in the tournament...they could at least hang around for a while, who knows.

Line: Wheaton -16

This bracket is a joke.  A huge manure sandwich. The NCAA should release thier final rankings if they have nothing to hide.
Seven of the top teams in one quarter of the bracket is just wrong.  The seven teams in that bracket earned spots they did not get.  Where is Wheatons bye?  The three remaining brackets are a joke.  Any of the seven would love to be in those brackets.  I guess those NCAA morons have to scam extra pocket money by spending less.

If Wheaton and Elmhurst should meet up again it would be in the Sweet 16 not the Elite 8.
