Sager  .....  hope we'll find each other.....  will be wearing a rather indistinguishable Hope hat....!!

Anyone who really wants to meet me / talk to me / laugh at me / punch me in the face will be able to readily identify me by the fact that I'll probably be the only guy in the building wearing a blue Buffalo Bills hoodie.

If the temps are anything like last weekend at St. Thomas, you better hope you have a t-shirt or another readily identifiable shirt on underneath that hoodie.  :D

Management keeps it nice and cool in King Arena, although I have to admit that I've never experienced a packed house in that venue before.

Glad Sager got his ticket. I was told by the Wash U. contact that they (WU) were limiting alums to 4 tickets, so I'm not sure what happened yesterday afternoon at Wheaton. I'm sorry I didn't reserve two extras for those who got shut out. Who'd have guessed there would be scalpers for a DIII Sweet 16 game.

There's no way of ever finding this out, of course, but I wonder how many of the people who've bought tix for tonight are curious Chicagolanders with no direct connection to any of the teams, basketball fans who were simply inspired by the talk of how good these four teams are? I'm not talking about people such as myself or Pete McBride or coebball who see lots of games in King Arena despite not being Wheaton fans, but more the casual D3 fan or the completely uninitiated. In other words, I wonder if there might be something of a "d3hoops.com effect" going on with the ticket sales?

Probably not -- I suspect that the early return of the Wheaton student body is what has snapped up all of the unsold UST/UPS/WU tix -- but it's still worth wondering about.

Strange that Wheaton didn't have a ticket limit.  At UWSP, which is a munch larger gym, postseason tickets are 4 per person max.  If you want 105 tickets, you better have 27 people in line.

Folks in Point can easily count to 6, so the limit of 4 was challenging at first.  Point Beer was the first beer to be packaged in a 6 pack, establishing a frame of reference for all Pointers thereafter.   ;)

I'm pretty sure Greg will have his circa 1980 North Park Vikings vintage t-shirt that now fits something like UnderArmor under that hoodie.  Not to worry.

I'll be there as early as possible this afternoon, wondering all the way out there, wondering in what will probably be a pretty lengthy line, and still wondering as I try to stake out my customary second row mid-court seat along with my son and a couple of friends.  If I come up with anything, I'll be sure to look for not just the only Bills hoodie in the house, but possibly in existence.

I'll be heading over to King Arena soon. I'm looking forward to a great night of basketball between 4 of the best teams in the country. I will be the guy in the orange "6th Man" shirt in the last row wielding a video camera.

Safe travels to all.

Are you sure the NCAA will allow you to videotape--after all, they paid for buses for all the visiting teams to get there.  I think that gives them video rights.  That is a major expenditure ::)

Wash U women win in Bloomingon -- so one Elite 8 spot for Wash U, at least.  IWU women up next vs. WIAC SP.

Any other sites with coverage of the game?

Some people are having trouble with the Silverlight download.
