Baloney. Greg Sager is largely the only NPU poster on here of any substance

Thanks!

Vikingblue- You have 151 posts since January of 2007 (including gaps between February and December each year). Sager has a brazillian more posts than you over the same period. No disrespect but GS has carried you! :)

I'm just happy that you noticed I'm trying to lose some weight!

From my perspective, baloney would help do that.  Yuck!

oooooooooooooooh

carthage moves into first place by themselves

and the titan and crusader fans are a bit touchy today

andone - dont set off the alarm in the bat cave - you'll have all the hall of famers flocking to protect their own self-made, and self-important fraternity

vikingblue - while gs may carry the NP banner proudly (and sometimes less than truthfully) he IS in the Hall of Fame and all of us most remain in his shadow - or incur the wrath of the bat cave denizens.

truth is - this is what happens when the big boys fall - they cry a lot and pick on the untermunchen.

I am hoping to make to the Augiestana game at North Park this week - health willing.
I am determined to be wise, but this was beyond me.

Dennis_Prikkel

and to the young idiot who described me as a band-wagon jumper....

I was telling my wife the other night that I could still remember the first North Park game I ever went to - North Park beat Trinity in December of 1965.

In 35 years as North Park's official scorer I missed 4 games.

if that's a "band-wagon jumper" I plead guity as charged.

I am determined to be wise, but this was beyond me.

And the only 'titan' post since the game that was in the least 'touchy' was from ourhouse, who has been on Ron Rose's case for years.

Certainly no one would mistake OurHouse as a Titan "fan"...I hope.

OurHouse has about as much love for Coach Rose as some Carthage and NCC football alum (who post on the CCIW football board) have for Coach Eash.   :P

I also haven't seen any Titan fans on here today nor have I seen any fans who could accurately be described as "touchy".  You will note that I am not a HOF member nor do I ever complain about Karma.

I didn't come here to feathers ruffle.......

OurHouse doesn't like anyone involved with the IWU basketball team except Sean Dwyer.  I'm pretty sure he even hates Matt the Cat.

Touchy? When you get thumped you take your lumps ... and the Titans got flat out beat.

Carthage's Djurickovic Named CCIW Men's Basketball Player of the Week

NAPERVILLE, Ill. -- Carthage's Steve Djurickovic was named College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Men's Basketball Player of the Week Monday.

Djurickovic, a junior guard from Pleasant Prairie, Wis., and Bradford High School, scored a game-high 36 points along with 10 assists and four rebounds in a 76-61 win over North Park on January 27. Djurickovic tied a CCIW game record for three-point field goal percentage by going eight-of-10 from three-point range. He then scored 18 points to go along with 10 assists and four rebounds in an 80-55 win over 21st-ranked Illinois Wesleyan on January 30. The win over the Titans gave the Red Men sole possession of first place in the CCIW. Djurickovic is an Exercise and Sport Science major.

Usee and AO...

Here is the game:
1) Wheaton could not defend N.C.'s dribble drive.  N.C. guards did whatever they wanted.
2) Wheaton must have missed 5-6 open bunnies.
3) Wheaton guards could not get to the paint.
4) McCrary was double and triple teamed.  He can't do it all, unless they want him to work concessions at halftime too.
5) Both teams played hard and banged.

Not trying to get in on the 'tone of reply' debate, but I think Wheaton will have to overcome teams double and triple teaming McCrary the rest of the season.  I saw this at Millikin and Wheaton was on their way to a loss in that game too until some of the other Wheaton players found the basket.  Apparently, Saturday night was much the same at NCC.  Unless they can find other ways to score consistently, they will struggle to stay in the race for a conference tournament slot.

Wheaton has faced other teams double and triple teaming McCrary all season it's nothing new or unexpected.  There has been no one in the league that has been able to stop him that way.  Apparently Bosko focused more on stopping Ben so that's why Tim had so many points in Kenosha  :) but every other team throws 2 or 3 at him on the low post and more often than not he is able to score or find someone who is, thus his high assist total.
True Wheaton deserved to lose given their 1st half experience but they came back in 2nd half to close the gap.  North Central deserved to lose just as much for allowing a team to come back as well.  Wheaton  adjusted to adversity (McCrary fouling out with over 3 min to go) but could not overcome several referee "miscues"  from pulling off the win in the cavern of the Hangar (er).

I tried accessing this board from China, but the entire discussion board was forbidden- The horror. I believe the Chinese government is trying to prevent its citizens from feeling joyful.
