Ladedzki from Bartlett is a very good player. Tough inside and can hit the mid range J consistently.
However, he is looking for a big financial package. If he ends up at a D3, you can bet it will be one with pretty deep pockets and/or a large endowment fund.

Kladis from Hinsdale Central is a tremendous shooter. However, at this stage of his development, his shooting touch is about the only arrow he carries in his quiver. He isn't real fast, can't create his shot off the dribble very well, and rarely passes the ball as he is always shooting it. If he works on developing he other aspects of his game, he can be a dangerous overall weapon.

Does anyone know where Jon DeMoss transferred? Did he play BB at his new school? I saw hm play through injuries at St. Chas. North and thought he would have been a solid CCIW player, if healthy. I'm not sure why he did not like it at Augie, but he was gone pretty quickly.

Augie---

I believe he left Augie after only practicing with the team for about 3 days. I remember hearing he went to Iowa. If so, he didn't play there this year.
I have heard he may be looking to transfer and get back into basketball, and that he is looking at Miami of Ohio, Wisconsin-Green Bay, and Western Michigan.

Ron Rose and the Titans landed a very intriguing prep school recruit this week - 6-4 forward Eric Dortch from Wilbraham & Monson Academy (Massachusetts).  Dortch graduated from Evanston Township H.S. in 2009.

I don't know anything about Dortch other than what I've found online.  It sounds like he is a 6-4, physical, athetlic slasher.  The chicagohoops.com piece below says that a year ago he had several Ivy League schools on him, and had offers from D2's Missouri Tech and St. Joseph.  One of the links belows reports he was committed to Penn at one point last year.

I'm very interested to find out what the Titans have found in Dortch, who will be a freshman next year.  Seems like a lot of upside.

Regarding the east coast IWU recruit Titan mentioned, I noted his ranking in Mass:

http://www.newenglandrecruitingreport.com/rankings/massachusetts.php

That site's rankings aren't perfect, but they are a pretty decent predictor, usually.  He is the highest ranked D-3 recruit from Mass, thusfar at least.  Guys in past few years who are ranked in that area have proven to be impact players in NESCAC early in their careers, although generally not instant starters, and none have made all-conference (yet).  Last year, Amherst's Peter Kaasila ranked 40 in Mass. and he got a lot of PT off the bench as a frosh and has star potential.  I think this year's class in Mass may be a bit deeper than the last few years, so Dortch is a guy who would, in NESCAC, probably project to play some as a frosh, and start as a soph or at the latest as a junior ... obviously that is all highly speculative, but past NESCAC players who are similarly ranked (Brian Emerson, Ryan O'Connell, Kaasila, Derek Beresford) are all very solid players (Emerson didn't play much as a soph but will be a key player for Williams as junior).

I don't know if Wheaton plans on announcing any recruits, but I have heard that Jonathan DeMoss will be playing for the Thunder next season.  He finished his first quarter at Augie and since has been at a community college.   He didn't play basketball so he'll be a freshman eligibility wise.

Izzy--

Good info.
I had heard that he left the Augie basketball team after only a few practices, and that he had gone to U of Iowa for the rest of the school year. No basketball there, of course. However, my info was 2nd hand, and you seem pretty sure of your info, so I sense you are correct in that we will be seeing him in a Thunder uni next season.
Quite possibly someone who will eventually be a nice replacement for Ben Panner?
I had also heard & read that he was considering Miami of Ohio, Wis-Green Bay, and Western Mich., but he probably wasn't offered by any of them.

DeMoss, a 6-4 SG, was highly regarded as a senior at St. Charles North.  For example...

In Jonathan DeMoss and Eric Dortch, Wheaton and IWU seem to have each picked up a good player from the class of 2009...and they both have 4 years of eligibility left.

From a year ago on DeMoss...

Well, Coach G and his staff have wrapped up this year's recruiting class, so I figured I'd give a run-down for anyone who's interested. I know I've covered some of this before, so bear with me.

Grey and assistant Tom Jessee are ecstatic with the quality of the big kids and love DeMoss, who sounds like a prototypical Giovanine-type player. Plus, I think Augie will have the only player in the league whose grandfather broke Muhammad Ali's jaw!

This year's class provides a great balance with last year's guard-heavy group. Can't wait for the season to start.

Jonathan DeMoss, 6-3, 200, St. Charles, IL (North HS)
2008-09: 10.2 ppg, 4.4 rpg, 3.4 apg, 1.1 spg

*St. Charles North career leader in scoring, rebounding and assists
*2-time Upstate Eight All-Conference (+Honorable mention as a soph)
*2-time Daily Herald & St. Charles Republican All-Area
*Kane County Chronicle (HM) and Courier News All-Area (2nd team)
*IBCA Class 3A/4A Special mention All-State

I've known for a while that Jonathan was likely to end up at Wheaton, but I wasn't going to post it without any official confirmation. I met him just briefly in his time at Augie. He seems like a nice young man. I hope he does well at Wheaton (except for two, or maybe three games a year).

Does anyone remember the last (or any) intra-conference basketball transfer in the CCIW? Keith Bishop, a record-setting QB went from IWU to Wheaton in  the early '80's, but I can't recall one in basketball.
