Mr. Sand and my Vikings friends, a radar check shows that the really heavy stuff that has pummeled mid-Mo is coming directly towards the Quad Cities (more so than Chicago - although Chicago is going to get pounded too).  Gonna get nasty there!

All the more reason to push back the two NPU @ Augie games to Thursday.

HaHa...Mr. Sand...That was my dad.

Yeah. I shoveled a couple inches this morning and the local weather guys are saying another 9-13" tonight. Actually they're predicting more to the south of us. It's comin' down sideways right now. 30-40 mph winds. Oh well, we're pretty much all in the same boat. Everybody get home safely and then stay in.

No snow it Texas, but there is lots of cold wind. I hope all you guys stay safe and warm up there.

It's 1130pm here in Chicago area and the winds are ferocious!  40-50mph gusts at times.

Can hear snow thunder and there are 4 ft drifts piling up around the house.

This storm is one for the ages!

Great article in one of the local papers this morning on Jim Borcherding and his 1972-73 Augie team which currently shares the school record for longest winning streak with this year's team:

BTW, I haven't heard anything official, but I have a tough time believing there will be basketball at Carver Center tonight. I just got in from shoveling through waist-deep drifts.

Is there a JV game? and will they be taking vans or a bus?

As expected, Augie-North Park women's-men's doubleheader pushed back until Thursday. Women at 6:00 pm. Men 30 minutes after women's completion.

Augie's website confirms the date change and also shows the mens' game scheduled to tip off at 8:15 p.m. instead of the usual 7:30 start.

Mr. Ypsi

Per the CCIW site: all tonight's games are postponed.  Wheaton @ Carthage and NPU @ Augie are scheduled for tomorrow (does that look like a go?); IWU @ NCC set for Mon the 14th; Elmhurst @ Millikin set for Tues the 22nd.

When was the last time the Midwest had 3 teams from the NathCon or its two predecessors ranked?  I may be off here, but I can't recall that happening.

Mr. Ypsi

Now that it is closer to game time, does it look like both the re-scheduled games (Kenosha and Rock Island) are going to happen?
