My in-laws cringe when people say Nixon was Quaker.  The statement is factually correct as Dick was raised in a programmed CA Meeting, which is far different than the unprogrammed Meetings in the midwest and east.  I'll let someone else judge Nixon's commitment to faith as well as 43+44.

These are probably all up fairly significantly since August 2010.

(For some reason I am missing North Park...anyone see where NPU is listed?)

The good Rev. Peterson probably has the exact figures, so he may correct me here, but my understanding is that NPU dropped down from about $64m to about $48m in the stock market downturn. I don't know what the dollar figure of North Park's endowment is at the moment.

Wheaton has landed a really good wing from out west -- 6-6 Peter Smith (Desert Mountain H.S., Scottsdale, AZ).  I've heard that Smith took official visits to some D1 schools, and was recruited heavily at the D3 level by powerhouse Williams.

Sounds like a big pickup for the Thunder.  Seems like in Division III, having that big 6-5 or 6-6 wing is sometimes what separates the good teams from great teams.

Michael Orris (Crete-Monee)

His father, Covenant pastor Bill Orris (his mother Lisa Orris is also a Covenant pastor) was in our home on Friday night (after umpiring high school baseball games).

Michael has been verbally offered full-rides by Illinois and Creighton.

But I told Bill if he winds up at Wheaton (Bill's alma mater) we WOULD have words.

Goes by Dan
Transferred to DGS this year from St. Joseph where he played his first 3 yrs. This was partially due to his friendship with DGS center Ziggy Riauka who I believe is a D2 Wis- Parkside signee.
Saw him play 4-5 times this year.
Played in a 3 guard, 1 forward, center offense.
Strong point is his consistency. Not flashy, but gets job done. Good hands and hand/eye coordination.
Main liability at this time is his defense. He isn't real quick and has some trouble sticking with quicker guards. May be 175 lbs, but no way is he as much as 185.
Many of his baskets came at important times of a game.
Great assist/TO ratio, but this is a little misleading as he played on a team of great shooters/finishers including a D2 signee and 2 junior guards, both of which will prob be D1 players.
Likely JV player this year and maybe next, but definitely has a chance to make a nice contribution in the future.
