Azuogu was a high school teammate of Wheaton recruit Peter Smith.  Both were 1st Team Desert Valley all-region...

http://blogs.evtrib.com/varsityxtra/2011/03/07/collin-woods-earns-desert-valley-region-poy/

Here is where the other 2 seniors from that all-conference team are heading...

First team
Collin Woods- Horizon (POY)  UC-Irvine (D1)
Peter Smith- Desert Mountain  Wheaton (D3)
Randy Azuogo- Desert Mountain  Illinois Wesleyan (D3)
Zeke Chapman- Chaparral  Utah State (D1)

My guess is that Smith is an elite D3 recruit for Wheaton.  I have no idea what to make of Azuogo -- just a complete flyer for IWU as I see it.

I visited UC-Santa Cruz's campus last summer and got a Slug sweatshirt. My favorite piece of clothing I own at the moment.

Stunningly beautiful campus. I can't imagine strolling through redwood trees to get to class. Probably because if I went to school there, I'd never go to class.

never been on the campus, but I've been to Santa Cruz on several occasions.  Beautiful beach and fun boardwalk.  The covenant church has a camp in nearby scotts valley in the hills behind santa cruz.
I am determined to be wise, but this was beyond me.

IWU has landed 6-1 PG David Molinari from Peoria Notre Dame H.S.  Molinari made several 3A/4A all-state/all-area teams.  For example...

- IBS Large School, 4th Team
- 2011 Peoria Journal Star Big School all-area team
- AP 3A Honorable Mention

Molinari's father is Jim, the head coach at D1 Western Illinois, and formerly the head coach at Minnesota, Bradley, and Northern Illinois...

Jim Molinari transfered to IWU from Kansas State and played alongside Jake Sikma.  From 1979 to 1989 he worked under Ray and Joey Meyer at DePaul.

David Molinari is a very good recruit for the Titans.  His final decision came down to IWU and playing for his father at WIU, where is older brother Billy is a redshirt freshman.

Mr. Ypsi

Bob, Peoria Notre Dame is one block from my parents' house!  I wonder if they were aware that IWU recruiters had apparently all-but-moved into the neighborhood? ;D

Appears Arizona State had Medium interest according to rivals.

Those sites say all kinds of silly things.

Not many 6-1 small forwards in Division I.

Some publications say guard, some say forward.  Also some say 6'1" and others say 6'3".
