OK, I got over my laziness and looked around.  Here are the only links I could find:

http://client.stretchinternet.com/client/dbq.portal#    for the Elmhurst game

http://client.stretchinternet.com/client/loras.portal#   for the Wheaton game

I'm never sure if I do those links correctly but the addresses are right.  Enjoy.

I was texted by one of the coaches after the game tonight. Sounds like everything that could've gone wrong did go wrong -- missed FTs, defensive breakdowns, turnovers.

How in the world does anybody lose to Eureka, let alone a CCIW team?

This is beyond embarrassing.

Sounds like a long bus ride home.

Dylan should've made them walk.

OUCH

I saw Benedictine play tonight. They play IWU,  EC, NCC. Nate Green is about 1/3 of their team. He scored exactly 1/3 of their points tonight vs. Knox. Without Green's shots, BU was 14 of 40 from the field. Green was 9/15. BU was out rebounded by a 46-39 margin by a not real big or real physical Knox team.

I watched this game online last night and I thought Wheaton looked absolutely phenomenal.  What struck me was the fact that every perimeter player on the floor seemed to have an aggressive scoring mindset.  When Jeremey Pflederer, Tyler Peters, Nate Serenius, and Aaron Garriott are open from beyond the arc, they don't think, they just shoot.  Wheaton teams of the past few years have always seemed to have guys on the floor that were not scorers, or at least strongly deferred to the Kent Raymond's and Tim McCrary's.  Not this Thunder team...at least last night.  When you go double McCrary, there are a bunch of good shooters on the perimeter waiting to catch and shoot.

I just now saw the boxscore and realized that Tim McCrary had 20 pts, 10 reb, and 5 assists.  If you asked me who had a good game, I would have listed him about third and guessed he had 12 & 5.  That is how good McCrary is I guess - a "quiet" 20, 10, and 5!

If Wheaton's perimeter players are as good as they looked last night (and coming into the year, I know Mike Schauer was very excited about his perimeter), then this is a Top 15 team.  (And note, projected starting guard Jon DeMoss did not even play...not sure if injured?)  Overall, I just thought Wheaton looked great last night.  Now, I want to see how Wheaton does vs a team with a couple legitimate low-post scoring threats...Loras has 6-9 Pawelski, but he is not great.  I still think post depth is a question with this Thunder team.

I will be shocked if Wheaton is not right in the middle of the CCIW title race in the final week of the season.  They are a well-coached team with a bunch of talent and interchangeable parts all over the perimeter.

Regarding NCC (AO, you are probably the best one to answer this) - How are they going to replace the two quality players that they lost? Do they have freshmen/transfers that you expect to step in and be able to contribute?
You win! You always do!

I'm not sure I agree with you, Greg.  Without having seen the game, or the opponent, how can any loss on the road be deemed "beyond embarrassing"?

Did you see the line for Mark Holmes?  Definitely something to look forward to....
