Congrats to North Central on a really well played game.

I love that building, even if the Titan shooters sometimes don't.

On to the next one Titans!

Where has AndOne been?  Haven't seen much of him since the Wheaton - NCC game.

Impala--

* If you have to know, I've been sick, but I do appreciate your concern.

* As to where I've been since the Wheaton game, all you had to do was scroll back a couple of pages to post # 27286 on page 1820 where I congratulated Wheaton on their win over NCC and voiced my frustration at the Cards not being able to close the deal and expressing my hope that they will be able to play with all their cards in the near future. I'm sure the injured kids are itching to return to action too!

* A better question might be where have YOU been? Prior to today, your last post was back on 11/22/11, and that was just to report a score. Previous to that insightful post, we have to go all the way back to 9/5/11 to find anything from you.  :)
Kind of makes you wonder if your purpose here is just to instigate and antagonize rather than discuss and or analyze anything associated with CCIW basketball.   :-*

AndOne has well described the excellent execution of NCC last night against my Titans.  The Titans did not win the score line in many important, key areas several, myself included, had identified . . . and uncharacteristically shot the ball poorly.  NC got to the line often and converted a very high percentage.  Hard to win with those stats, with those differentials.  Getting down big early on was a place too far, coming back against this NCC team is tough.  My congrats to NCC on an important win at home.  More basketball to be played.  I tip my hat to them and move on.  Look forward to seeing them in person at The Shirk.

With a 1.3 FPM (Fouls per Minute), I'm surprised both teams are not still playing the game. Very hard to win when you give your opponent 43 opportunites to score with the clock turned off; even harder when that opponent makes 37 FTA's for 86%. In fairness, you can't say IWU was whistled up more than NCC who chalked up 24 PF's.  Hats off to the Cardinals

Yup. There's a Board Grinch out there somewhere. In the last couple of weeks my board postings have consisted of laughing twice, recognizing it with a couple of +k's, asked about the JV schedule, and got dinged. Somebody's got the Winter Blues.

+k!  Pitchers and catchers report in a month!  That ought to cheer you up. ;D

Looking forward to the Elmhurst-IWU game in Elmhurst on Saturday night. This has to be the most meaningful CCIW game that the Jays have played since the 2008-09 season. I hope the Bluejays respond, and I really think they will. I thought going into this season that the Jays would have a chance to sneak into the CCIW tournament. This game is obviously a must win for that to happen.

Its just my koleege eddukaton Wheels.  :)

Its also a very valid response to a guy who asks where I've been when my last post was only 2 days previous, and HIS last post was 2 months ago and was just a report of a score, and whose 2nd most recent post was over 4 months ago. True?   ;)

Thank you, IWU70. Several of the points we both brought up were significant features of last night's contest.
I spoke briefly with John Koschnitzky after the game, and he assured me the Titans will be ready to return the favor when the Cards invade Bloomington next month. I'm sure NCC will face a stern test that evening.

See the link below for Eliud and Coach Rose's explanation of what happened with the Titans last night:

The Cardinals went to the charity stripe about 43 times, I believe it was, and made it count. Kudos to them on a job well done.

Titans, yesterday's loss was rough. Put it behind you, regroup, refocus, and hit the hard wood running like you've been doing.

GO TITANS!!!

Play the best to be the best.

IMHO, a typical road game coached by RR.

You are entirely correct about the length of the game. I believe things got underway right about 7:30 as scheduled, or very shortly thereafter. However, the game didn't finish until 9:20-9:25!. Longest dang game I've seen in this my eighth year of regular attendance.
