This Wash U color guy is killing me...complaining all game long

Hope's announcers were students and I thought they were the most unbiased team I have heard all season, maybe in several seasons.

I agree, they did a nice job both nights

I agree.  They did a very good job.  They said things like "hopefully" and "unfortunately" a few times, but overall they were good.  My feed was great until the last minute of the game.

Good luck to all three CCIW teams this weekend as they "hit the road".

I agree with IWU70 (frame that G.S.) about you know what.

I also agree with G.S. that probably no overnight reservations will be needed by CCIW fans - I'd be surprised if any make it to the next weekend.

Congratulations to the CCIW on going 6-0!  Hey committee how about some CCIW teams hosting next week?
Go Thunder!

Viking Mike

Congratulations to Wheaton, North Central, and IL Wesleyan and their fans tonight!
I anticipated a Wheaton win, but NC and IWU winning on their opponents home floor was exceptional.
Had to root for the CCIW and was glad to see these teams flex their muscles tonight.
Wish my team was in the mix as well, but I know I won't draw any sympathy from posters on this site.

Good Luch next week and here's hoping one of the 3, in not 2, can get to Salem!

Gotta love it.  CCIW again goes 5 for 5 tonight.  Carthage women and IWU women with big wins.  Titans by domination (87-50), Carthage very big win over # 4 DePauw on their DePauw's floor.

All three men's teams -- big wins.  Congrats to all the CCIW teams.  Marvelous!!!  Keep the noise going.

ISU had a big upset win today too, a shocker over the Shockers.  Good day for B/N sports.

More tomorrow.  Gotta go celebrate!  Congrats to Coach Rose and all the Titans!   What a classic win, in the IWU tradition of taking down #1s and #2s on their home floor.

DeVos a great place to plant the IWU green banner!!! (Ypsi, you really got your money's worth -- tip one up there for me, OK?)

IWU Women are REALLY making noise, just dominating.   Mt. Union is next.  With Wash U and DePauw going down, I'm hoping for a home sectional at The Shirk for the women:  (four teams are):  Carthage, Centre, IWU, and Mt. Union -- in that corner of the women's bracket.  Stay tuned.

Looks like the men might be going to Wooster or Wittenberg.  All shall be revealed by Monday.

GO CCIW, GO TITANS!!!  Keep it rolling.

Wash U's PBP guy, Jay Murray, is solid, but, you're right, a_s -- we got a whineathon from the color guy, particularly in the last five minutes.

Quote from: Titan Q on March 03, 2012, 09:37:19 PMNeither team deserved to lose this one - it was an just a ridiculous game.

It was a great game, but IWU clearly deserved to win and Hope clearly deserved to lose. The Titans outworked the Dutch on the offensive boards (19 of 'em), giving themselves a ton of extra possessions in a game in which they shot poorly and really needed those extra possessions, and that was half the difference in the game. The other half was the fact that the Dutch couldn't hit a free throw to save their lives. When you go 20-35 from the line, you don't deserve to win. Same deal with Wash U; the Bears shot less than 60% from the line tonight, and got knocked out on their home floor by NCC.

FINAL   :)   :)   :)

NCC------72
Wash U--68

If I'm reading the PBP correctly, Landon Gamble picked up his fourth foul with 16:18 left in the second half, and Aaron Tiknis picked up his fourth foul with 13:12 left. Neither fouled out of the game. Since there's only one big who gets tick off the bench, Charlie Rosenberg -- and he fouled out with three minutes and change to go -- that's a lot of minutes played by two guys who were each one foul away from disqualification. Impressive that they stayed in the game and proved pivotal down the stretch in the win.

YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

TITANS 108
HOPE 101

I gotta do the math, but I think Zimmer with 7 3s is the all time 3 point shooter for IWU.

108?? Wow- high scoring game!  This is fun to watch the CCIW keep marching on as a group.

However, there will need to be an "*" by his record.

Who was the color guy for the Wheaton game?  He was phenominal!

One of the greatest Titan games I have ever witnessed!  The Hope College/Holland community were gracious hosts.  It's time to celebrate!

In a vacuum, yes. But since it was a double OT game, not terribly high-scoring.

I'd be interested to find out later what ___% Zimmer was out there. He definitely wasn't 100%. He gutted it out big time.

According to the, as augie_superfan correctly stated, obnoxious Wash U broadcasters, NCC will play Wittenberg, and Wesleyan will play Wooster. They didn't say where.   :-\
