A Napervillain, a Wheatie, and a Green Weenie walk into a bar ...

And the Titan said, At first I thought you guys were out tonight wearing green to help celebrate our big win, but then I realized it's also St. Patrick's Day!

A villain (also known in film and literature as the "bad guy", "black hat", or "heavy") is an "evil" character in a story, whether a historical narrative or, especially, a work of fiction. The villain usually is the antagonist, the character who tends to have a negative effect on other characters. A female villain is sometimes called a villainess (often to differentiate her from a male villain). Random House Unabridged Dictionary defines villain as "a cruelly malicious person who is involved in or devoted to wickedness or crime; scoundrel; or a character in a play, novel, or the like, who constitutes an important evil agency in the plot".[1]

I actually was thinking of the English Aston Villa Soccer Club.  They are known as either the Villans or the Villains because of their name.  According to http://www.footynicknames.co.uk/Aston_Villa_-_The_Villains,

"Known as The Villa they are always depicted as a picturesque Villain, an appropriate representation of one of the most formidable teams in the game."

I thought that would be appropriate for this year's NCC team, as they proved to be the top of the league.
Wow, that is actually kind of nice. Thanks

I chose scoundrels for similar " kind of nice" reasons that escape me at the moment.  ;D

(there goes my hard earned k count)
Mine took a hit as well 2day. So hard tobuild up-so easy to tumble dowm.:(:(

We're all in the same boat. A NCAC raid?

Great stuff on the joke punchlines.  I like Bob's about the Wheatie.

Q, you are right about the times.  Must have been looking at another site.  My bad.  Yes, 5:30 and 7:30 p.m. EST Friday.  Have fun in Ohio this weekend.  Wooster has a nice campus.  Hope early Springtime cooperates.  Supposed to be in the 60s here in B/N the next few days.  (IWU Spring Break also starts this Friday -- thru March 18th, so students will be off, free to travel).

Q, guess we just disagree about the quality and readiness of the deeper parts of the IWU bench.  Musselman has played some key minutes this year and, before his injury, Molinari was in the regular rotation, so surely those two guys could play some useful minutes, if needed, of course after the first nine in the rotation.  Os could also play 4-5 minutes, great shooting if needed to shake up a zone, get the offense going . . . and admittedly, he's a bit of a liability on defense.

Sure glad we have the six bigs playing so well in whatever combination . . . and hope Jordan and Kman are healthy and ready to go this weekend.  Zimmer has been gutty and tremendous, but, as you know, my Titan MVP this year still is Eliud Gonzalez, the guy that stirs the drink.

I'm really pulling for Coach Smith and the women . . . think they have a real shot at the Final Four again this year.  Two much tougher games this weekend vs. Mount Union and winner of Centre/Carthage semi.  They were just dominant last weekend.

Good luck to all the CCIW Teams this weekend.

GO TITANS!!!

Yes, mine took a hit too, and I was actually being complimentary.  Oh well, the only way not to lose karma is not to post anything, and what's the fun of that?  :)
There is no fun in that! If we had no "friendly banter" the boards would be boring ;). The whole point of the boards is to be able to express your point(s) and have some fun!

It is WAY too long until Friday night, so in honor of the THREE Sweet Sixteen conference teams, and the earlier attempts to give a new nickname to the Cardinals, a contest for best joke.  Complete the following 'standard' opening line:

A Napervillain, a Wheatie, and a Green Weenie walk into a bar ...

...the Wheatie realized where he was and got the hell out of there.

Don't kill me now---I'm saying this in the spirit of friendly competition.  :)

So after the Wheatie realizes his sinful transgression, the Napervillian and the Green Weenie walk him out of the bar, and hail him a cab as the mere smell of the booze wafting through the air has left him a bit tipsy.
Then, looking up at the full moon the N'Villian asks the Weenie--"So, Weenie, what do you think is farther away, the moon or California"? "Duh" replies the Weenie, "can you see California from here"?   :)

Nope. They're not going home until Sunday---After the Sat night party celebrating their third win this season over the Weenies.  :)
