You both beat me to it. Looked like a back and forth battle. Great season for the Cards. Return some key players as well for next year. thanks to the seniors for a great ride! Go Titans(my brother is an IWU grad)!

The first sentence is a severe understatement, and the second sentence is technically incorrect. ;)

There's only one senior on the Cardinals, and that's point guard Kevin Gillespie. While he will be difficult to replace -- let's face it, a point guard who can play 35-40 minutes every night and still hold his own against any opponent he faced is a valuable commodity -- Mark seems to think that Chris Smith, who sat out this season with a torn Achilles tendon, is going to be equally good at the point next year for NCC. While that remains to be seen, the bottom line is still this: NCC returns four of five starters and both of its key reserves next season, and that's more than anyone else in the league (aside from Millikin) will return in terms of a top seven.

North Central should be very good again next season.

North Central looked a little worn down at the end of the game. As the commentator said (great broadcast crew from Wittenberg, by the way), the fact that the Cards kept coming up short on all of their shots was a dead giveaway. Witt was physical, deep, and ultimately played great defense on the last possession of the game to seal the win.

Congrats to NCC upon getting farther to the promised land than any Cardinals men's basketball team ever has.

Enjoyable game to watch. Just about what I expected to see out of Wittenberg (as a Wooster fan, I see them fairly often). NCC impressed me with their ball movement and activity on offense, but I agree that it looked like Witt had a bit more at the end.

Now on to IWU-Wooster!  Go Scots!

Titans 42-27 at the half.

IWU looks pretty good... this one is a long way from over though.

Let's see who wins the second half battle!

I would think with the exception of Zimmer not shooting all that great, this is about as good as Coach Rose could have hoped for at the half.

Mr. Ypsi

Titan women by 1 w/ 4 to go.

Titan men's lead down to 7 w/ 13 to go.

Titan women win!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Very nice last second play....

WOW!

Mr. Ypsi

I think I'm in love!  Olivia Lett makes a buzzer-beater, gets fouled, but they don't even bother with the shot.  IWU 70, Mount Union 69.  Both CCIW women's team in the Elite Eight.

Titan men's 17-point lead down to 3; not sure on the time, but probably about 7.

Anytime you beat Mt. Union it's a great day!

Always better to understate than have to eat crow. There were two seniors honored on Senior Day ;), and the funny thing about college is  they make you leave after 4yrs.:) Someone is always waiting for their chance to show what they've got, so I wouldn't worry too much about that at this point.

Wooster w/ 2 FTs w/ 2.6 seconds.  The first did not even hit the rim!  Presumably he will intentionally miss the second.

Watching Eluid Gonzalez smoke Wooster to take a 2-point led, can I just point out that he should have been 1st team CCIW.

Congrats to NC, IWU and Wheaton who have done well for the CCIW this March...

Nice!

Was this the SAME IWU team from the regular season?  Same bodies, different performance.
