Psh, my vote would be for New Zealand! If that's too over the top I will settle for going to Iceland or back to Turkey, which is quite lovely in the spring (true story, Tulips are originally from Turkey).

April, I triple-dog dare you to post this in the MIAA room.
My karma was hit enough after saying I was cheering for MIT instead of IWU in the Final Four, so I think I'll abstain. :P It doesn't matter if they think it's true or not, it just is. The word tulip comes from the Turkish word for turban. http://www.etymonline.com/index.php?term=tulip I went to Turkey for other reasons last April and as I was researching to prepare for my trip I found I would randomly be in Istanbul during their tulip festival, dug some more, and had my mind officially blown. I am sure I am not the only one who thought I really should get to Holland one day for their tulips, and no longer feel any particular urge to.

5-point Calvinism can still be called TULIP though, as there are tons of Biblical sites in Turkey. I am sure that will be some consolation to our dutch friends across the lake (by only a short ferry ride!).

stuff
Since I totally forgot in my last post... AndOne, it was this one. It's an interesting collection of stats, but it's sad to think of Wheaton losing most of what it had that could take it to Salem. Actually I think that the Wheaton team that most deserved to be in Salem since I started watching is probably the one that lost the CCIW title and auto bid at the very end of the game at the Shirk center in what was that? 2004? Second most brutal game I've ever seen. I only watched like 2 Wheaton games this year, but I left my monitor feeling kinda uninspired.
Wait, dunks are only worth two points?!?!!!? Why does anyone do them? - diehardfan
What are Parkers now supposed to chant after every NP vs WC game, "Let's go enjoy tobacco products off-campus? - Gregory Sager
We all read it, but we don't take anything you say seriously - Luke Kasten

RIP WheatonC

Gregory Sager

It'd be nice for our MIAA friends if they could retaliate by claiming that Turkish taffy was invented in the Netherlands. But, alas, it was invented in New York City by an Austrian immigrant.

They can't claim that the Netherlands is the home of the turkey, either, since everyone's favorite Thanksgiving fowl is only native to North America. But, if it's any consolation, in Malaysia the turkey is called ayam belanda, which means "Dutch chicken".

Nice showing by the CCIW. With many of the schools having very good spring teams, we'll see how the  conference ends the year.

Glad I drove "through" Paris, Illinois, and did not stay overnight.

never been to Paris, Texas

I've been to Rome, Poland and Greece, (all in New York) - but my favorite is Holland Patent.
I am determined to be wise, but this was beyond me.

If I do win tonight we could take a ROAD TRIP, although I'm not sure if Dennis and Greg could sit by each other in the van. ;D ;D ;D ;D

When I win Mega Millions, every CCIW school is getting new video equipment and unlimited bandwidth for life.

You will see CCIW games in HD online, with absolute clarity...and you as the viewer will control your own camera views.

You will be able to subtitle the announcer's words in 12 languages.

You will have crystal clear audio.

You will have an entirely new live stats program which my IT team will develop that will never freeze.

I might experiment with cameras mounted on helmets worn by the coaching staff, and possibly a jacket-toss cam trained on GG at every home game to get the precise moment.

Then I will never be heard from again.

the jacket-toss cam is the most underutilized camera angle.

Sounds great to me. I'd love to see Rob Berki subtitled in Hindi as he extols the virtues of Tre Kronor's Swedish pancakes or reads viewer e-mails during timeouts.

Mr. Ypsi

Sheesh, I go to see my 93 and 94-year-old parents for two days ("The Land the Internet Forgot"), and have FOUR pages to catch up on when I return - during the off-season!  Keep up the good work, folks! ;D

Q, I like your plans for the lottery money -I'm pullin' for you! 8-)

Though if NCF is taking the whole board for a road trip, .... ;)
