The winning Illinois ticket was purchased outside of St. Louis.

I guess the only "road trips" I'll be taking this spring are to Wheaton, Benedictine, IWU, and of course, beautiful downtown Naperville. It was fun to dream.

Q, I like your plans for the lottery money -I'm pullin' for you! 8-)

I think you mean TitiansIWU.   These things happen when you take a few days off. ;D

Yep. If Bob had won the lottery, he would've spent it all on buying four or five golf courses.

I'd also buy a plane and hire a pilot, to fly me to every IWU game and back from Lincoln, NE!

Gregory Sager

The funny thing is that you'd stay in Lincoln even if you'd just won 650 million dollars.

Ahhhhhh, but life is a slice in what we referred to as the 'Pleasure Capital Of The Plains' during my years in school there at NWU.  ;)

Q's a farmer, he's got those golden handcuffs on, can't take them off until age 58. He has been around a long time, but he's not that old.

Mr. Ypsi

Meant to respond ever since it was pointed out that I had attributed TitansIWU plans to Q, but the intervening commentary was so amusing I didn't want to squelch it (hopefully this won't either!).

Apparently the winnings were split, and no one gets more than a 'mere' $75 million after taxes (hardly worth a ticket! ;)).

One winner was from Illinois.  What do you suppose the odds are that the Illinois winner is an IWU/CCIW supporter?! 8-)

With that much moolah, I think that he'd be able to find the key to those golden handcuffs.

The ticket was supposedly bought on the Illinois side of the river down by St. Louis. Perhaps it was a SLIAC fan that bought it. I'm hoping so, for Hopefan's sake.

Whichever fan base won it, a donation to fund your favorite D3sports.com site from a new-found millionaire would never be inappropriate. :)

I work with a young lady who lives in Waterloo, Il,  and unbelievably, her sister lives in Red Bud...  we were both in the office for month end close this morning, and she called her sister... unfortunately, the family has never purchased a lottery ticket.... a small town of under 4000, I'm told by my coworker that she could only think of one place in the town that a ticket could be purchased.. the moto-mart.... I've never been there, but can it be that much different than Red Bud, NY, of 'Funny Farm' fame, and one of my all time favorite movies.....
The only thing not to be liked in Florida is no D3 hoops!!!

I went to college with a kid from Red Bud. We played basketball together. Her prized posession was a hearse(no kidding) that she drove around when she was at home. Gotta find out if she still lives there.
