Q, based on your "pickem" call, is it safe to say you would have IWU favored if this game was at the Shirk? Or are you handicapping this because of IWU's playoff record in hostile gyms? In other words, what's the odds on this game on a neutral court and/or at the Shirk. This could easily be the most intriguing matchup of the 2nd round.

Without question I'd consider IWU a favorite at the Shirk.  Neutral court I'd say IWU by 3.  In St. Louis I say pick 'em.

There is a chance IWU could have 30-40% of the fans in the gym tonight - I don't see it being too hostile at all.

I agree with this! Safe travels, Q... glad you get to see them in person! Good for you!

Washington University e-mailed everyone--students, alumni, faculty and staff--reminding them of the game today.  In all my years through the Final Fours and national championships, I have never seen an e-mail for a second round game.  Unfortunately, student attendance was already down this season.  And with Spring Break, in terms of the crowd, this is a neutral court.

I was behind this guy in the suburbs of Chicago the other day, took a picture of his license plate.

Illinois Plate... WASH U  (I can't figure out how to post a photo on this forum or I would)

I kinda had the urge to follow them and put a Titan sticker on that pretty pearl Cadillac, but it was just a fleeting thought.

I also thought there might be a chance the owner just owned a chain of car washes, and used his vanity plate to promote his business, then the Titan sticker would have been wasted.

Just getting the feeling that perhaps the primary determining factor in the IWU/Wash U game might be rebounding. Whoever wins the battle on the boards, and comes away with the most caroms may well also come away with the most points. Offensive boards, and resulting 2nd chance points will have special importance.

Overall, its a shame that 2 such high quality teams have to meet this early in the tournament, and the same can be said about the NCC/UWW tilt this evening.

The teams were very close in the last meeting with IWU with the slight edge, so maybe and maybe not.  I keep moving back and forth, but I am thinking Klimek might be the primary determining factor.

Good luck to your team tonight.

Actually, just make that terrible.  The Wash U color guy is terrible.

I'm trying to watch both IWU and Wheaton on two separate devices and have great video but no audio on the Wheaton broadcast.  Is that my high tech ignorance or a problem with the broadcast?  Anybody else having trouble?

Mr. Ypsi

My WashU video is buffering WAY too often - anyone else with the problem?

Bears got the first point; Titans got the next 11!  Now it has settled into the tight game we expected.

Was coming here to say this.  At first I was thinking he came from the Ron Santo school of color commentary, but it's not even amusing.  Just bad.
Hail, Hail, the gang's all here, all out for Wesleyan!

Mine was doing this early, but has settled down now.

Victor Davis and Kevin Reed look strong early, even if the WashU color guy thinks Reed has "the worst footwork for a big man."

the play by play guy is very good, but I will take a college kid who doesn't know what he is doing over this idiot any day...
