Maybe Jabari Parker will get homesick and transfer to North Park at the semester break to give the lineup some height.

Well, he's got the right last name, and the fact that his dad Sonny shares a nickname with the starting PG of NPU's last national championship team is a nice coincidence as well. But I wouldn't hold your breath on Jabari surrendering his Dookiehood to come home and don royal blue and gold.

North Central will scrimmage at Univ. Of Chicago tomorrow, 11/8, @ 4:30.
Assume it's in Naperville? If so, I may wander over with my little ones

Keith--

Not sure if the interpretation of at is the same in 'Duhawkland' but back east here in civilization "at" usually designates where the game is being played.  ;)   ::)   8-)

So, to confirm, the pregame layup lines will *not* commence at the Robert Brown three-point line on Warden Court at Gregory Arena in Merner Fieldhouse, right?  ::)

On a more serious note, I popped over to to the Cardinal website today to see where Landon Gamble currently sits on the all-time Cardinal scoring list.  Knock on wood, he should spend this season in the left hand lane speeding past a veritable who's-who of Redbirds from Days of Yore:

#    Name           Pts       Years
1    Bill Warden    2,249       1951-55
2    Derek Raridon    1,690       2009-13
3    Steve Hoeft    1,660       1969-73
4    Robert Brown    1,597       1986-90
5    Gary Groharing    1,450       1966-70
6    Alonzo Alexander    1,372       1988-93
7    Don Austin    1,369       1969-73
8    Dan Walton    1,308       2003-07
9    Anthony Simmons    1,301       2003-07
10    Gene Smithson    1,298       1957-61
11    Yulander Wells    1,280       1998-01
12   Mike McFadden    1,258       1981-84
13    Dick Howard    1,232       1956-60
14    Landon Gamble    1,228       2010-Present
15    Mike Moore    1,198       1970-74

Bill Warden has lapped the field to the point that, in a 26-game season (and here's hoping for 32 or more games again this year...), Landon would have to catch Derek Raridon and then average an additional 21.5 points above that level to catch him.

What is truly amazing about Bill Warden's point total is that it was achieved over 30 years before the 3 point shot came into play. I'm sure Bill registered many 3 point plays with an "and one," but all of his FGs were only worth 2 points.

Same with Landon Gamble who has amassed 1,228 points in his first 3 years, and should end up as NCC's #3 or #4 all-time scorer. While the 3 pointer has, of course, existed for his entire career, he has never even attempted a shot from beyond the arc. Maybe this is the year?   :-\

Congrats to Gamble, Peters and Zman for pre-season All-American honors.  All well-deserved.  Lots of talented seniors all 'round D3 this year, it would appear.

Gamble has had an amazing, consistent career -- likely finishing in the top five scoring all time at NCC.  Congrats to him on this amazing run, and also for 1st team All-American designation.  Special for NCC and for the CCIW.  I'm sure Peters and Zman are also going to have great years.

Sorry to hear about the injury to Heyan.  Hope the injury bug has bitten enough now around the Titan roster.  Enough already.  Will be some pretty good talent coming back by mid-Decenber or January -- Marietti, Zimmer, Nelson and now Heyen.  Must be keeping the Titan training and med staff a bit too busy.

One more week and we can get things started in earnest.

IWU lost the 1st half to Hanover 37-24. Did not shoot well Hanover did.  Lots of fouls. No flow to game   If you have a small quick guard like Hanover and get a step on your defender you will either score or get a foul called.

2 quick fouls on oversteer Dolan played well in his place.  Dylan played well late with at least 11 Pts   Scary moment with less than 4 seconds left ran hard into a screen.  On floor a couple of minutes.  Did come back in 2nd half. Sore neck hopefully that is all.

Rossi did not scrimmage. Unknown injury.

Sodeman good scrimmage. Showing he is still the starting 2

Nick Anderson showed lots if improvement under basket. Better hands this year

Z and Vic good games

2nd half all Titans up 44-18 late.

Iwufan

Also very string play by Coyle and Seibring.   They could be a big help if injuries keep up

Iwufan

Final half 2. IWU 54-30. Much better play by Titans
