Give you 10-1 odds on whatever sum you'd like to wager, Mr.   ;D

NOT taking that bet! ;D

Besides, the IWU music program is much too good to be taking on amateurs from elsewhere! ;)

Can anybody tell us how the MacMurray at Millikin scrimmage played out?    Thanks
The only thing not to be liked in Florida is no D3 hoops!!!

This doesn't really answer your question, but a few related tweets I saw...

Coach Jon Lester ‏@CoachJonLester
Really impressed with @ToddCreal, @MattZosel  and their MacMurry team! Gonna do great things!

Todd Creal ‏@ToddCreal
@CoachJonLester Thanks coach. U guys R very talented! It was a fun competitive scrimmage that I think helped both of us out! Best wishes!

Todd Creal ‏@ToddCreal
We showed big improvements 2night N our scrimmage against a tough Millikin squad. Split the 2 halves lost the 1st & won the 2nd.

Just finished watching the scrimmage film for the second time. Proud of how our guys competed vs. a tough CCIW team in Millikin.

NCC scrimmaged at U of Chicago Friday afternoon. I wasn't able to attend, but can relate that Chicago won the 1st half and NCC the 2nd and 3rd halves. Those standing out for the Cardinals were freshman David Robinson, and soph Tyler Sutton.
Sutton missed the last 3/4ths of the season last year with a hip injury. He came to NCC with a history of being a great shooter, having made about 100 3 pointers in his senior year at Naperville's Neuqua Valley where his dad is the long term head coach. Tyler is not an imposing physical specimen, but being a coach's son, Tyler has a head for the game which is evidenced by his propensity to be mentally strong and make good decisions in addition to his shooter's touch.
As a freshman, Robinson has a LOT of work to do. However, if he puts in the work, there is little doubt he has both the potential and the talent to ultimately be an all-conference level CCIW player. Time will tell.

Also very string play by Coyle and Seibring.

Next Saturday night 11/16 at 8:00 P.M., the IWU String Ensemble will proudly present a program of Chamber Music with featured performers Ryan Coyle on the violin and Trevor Seibring on the viola playing duets by Handel in E minor???   ::)   8-)

Tough crowd on the newbie!  Darn iphones and autocorrect!  :) :) :)

North Central will scrimmage at Univ. Of Chicago tomorrow, 11/8, @ 4:30.
Assume it's in Naperville? If so, I may wander over with my little ones

Keith--

Not sure if the interpretation of at is the same in 'Duhawkland' but back east here in civilization "at" usually designates where the game is being played.  ;)   ::)   8-)

hahaha I missed that (and the scrimmage too, but caught the womens scrimmage)

Heard from someone who attended the scrimmage Friday.  U. of Chicago won the 1st half by 20...North Central won the 2nd half by 1.  The 3rd was strictly JV.

Landon Gamble did not play and, I guess, hasn't practiced yet this year.

Mr. Ypsi

I missed it if it has been discussed - is Gamble injured?

Surprisingly it hasn't been posted here at all as far as I know.  Maybe we can get some confirmation from someone who follows NCC.

Sounds like the North Central posters are keeping their Cards close to their vest. ???

If Gamble is out for a lengthy period, that would be big.

Any word on Rossi . . . or others on the IWU injury list?  Zimmer?

First official game of the season now only three days away.  Are you ready for some basketball?

Lovely four days in Chicago, snow falling as I entered Union Station training south, and snow falling as I came out of the new Normal Uptown Transportation Center (which is great!), on arrival last night.  Was hoping to avoid winter altogether, before flying back to Asia, to warm sunny Hong Kong on December 1st.  No luck.

Really ready to see how the Titans are coming together and will get a good, first-hand taste, in person look, this weekend in the two games of the Tip-Off Tourney -- first vs. Manchester, then on Saturday vs. Aurora or Ripon.

One more football game at home this weekend -- hopefully not in the snow -- and D3 women's tournament soccer on the IWU campus this weekend too.  Friday-Sunday will be busy around Shirk, on the fields.

Let's hope the CCIW has a strong opening weekend in basketball.

So now that Benedictine's roster is up, I am compelled to ask if anyone on the board has any idea which stop is next on the Luke Johnson NBA Express.  :)

We should learn about the status of Landon's negotiations with the T71 Dudelange team of the Luxembourg Diekirch League by the end of the week.
