New top 25 out today:

From the damage that has been done to the CCIW, can't complain much about the rankings.

#7 IWU, #14 Wheaton, #22 NCC, and #24 Augie.

Amherst with most of the #1 votes and Stevens Point and Wash U with a few as well.

Let's hope the rest of non-conference goes a bit more our way!

Also, I'm sure to everyone's interest, Loras received 8 total votes.

Titans win 68-57.  Victor Davis was the big gun with over 20 points.  If the Titans had been able to shoot, this would have been over early - not sure of the final stats yet, but both 3 pt and overall FG % were rather pathetic.

Titans over Wabash 68-57.  Not a stellar night shooting, only 25% from treyville.  Davis with a big night with 24 pts., 12-12 from the line.  Otherwise, not a terribly good performance.  No Rossi?  What's with that?  Flu?

Titans now 4-1.

Where was Rossi tonight?

He is injured - abdominal strain I believe.

IWU has some big fire power out right now - 1st Team all-CCIW PG Dylan Overstreet, D1 transfer Jordan Nelson, and now D1 transfer Alex Rossi.  And Brady Zimmer, who led the team in per game scoring in CCIW play last year (14.1 ppg), is just starting to play a few minutes per game...he is not a factor yet for the Titans.

Fortunately the Titans have 10 days off now before hosting Wash U.

Too much of an injury bug around Shirk for my taste.  How serious is Rossi's injury?

Really nice to see Vic Davis playing so well, having a very strong start to his senior season.

Seems so days the Titans are "lights out," some days they are pretty pedestrian in shooting, like tonight, even at home.  Wabash was scrappy.

Any word on schedules for returns of the injury list?

Mr. Ypsi

First thing in the morning we're off to 'the land the internet forgot'!  Happy Thanksgiving, everyone.

North Park 87, Eureka 83

Juwan Henry: 22 pts
Garett Gatz: 19 pts, 4:2 a:to
Reggie McGee: 19 pts, 3-5 trey
Aaron Weaver: 18 pts, 8 rebs
Cam Burnett: 5:1 a:to

The Vikings finally got off the schneid tonight by eking out a win in a closely-fought contest, as Juwan Henry's three-point play with 1:09 left changed a one-point Red Devils lead into a two-point Vikings lead, and a couple of defensive stands followed by a buzzer-beating fastbreak layup by Jay'Quan Lee cemented the NPU win.

The good news is that the Vikings finally found a way to spread the wealth offensively and to utilize their team quickness to get to the rim and finish (59% from the field, 50 points in the paint) and convert from the FT line (12-15, 80%). The bad news is that the Vikes got walloped on the boards again, to the tune of 33-22. The fact that Tom Slyder ripped a page out of the Bob Quillman playbook and used five-guard lineups all night probably had something to do with that; the only bigs who saw the floor, Nate Rummel and Michael Hutchinson, were only out there for a combined 11 minutes tonight.

Eureka is no great shakes, but it's a win -- and a road win, to boot. This fish is definitely big enough for the Vikes not to throw it back.

No, they're the opposite of the Reagans. They're the Red Devils. ;)

(Well, OK, Communists would've been the opposite. But Red Devils is close.)

To Ronnie, the same.  After all, they were the 'Evil Empire'.

What I haven't been able to track down: were they the Red Devils when he attended?
