How is Augie still in the top 25?? They are going to struggle to make the top 4 of the league...lol

MalcomKelly25

IWU70 that top 25 don't mean anything to me!! Or my team. Wheaton is the next team on our schedule.

Dude is a regular on here now. Looks like he may replace Q as the expert on all things CCIW.  I think this may be Bosko using an alias. He certainly appears to have the gift of prophecy.

It looks like Carthage came out of orv after a road win at ncu and home win vs north park?? At least there will be no arguments about Carthage Sid calling them #35 or so.

Highlights from Wheaton's win at Augustana on Saturday night. Wednesday night should be a good one at King Arena. Mwunder, let's not get ahead of ourselves with W's. Wins on the road this year have been increasingly hard to come by.

It is entertaining to watch Coach G's reaction on these clips. Not surprising at all.

congrats to Nate Haynes for his CCIW player of the week honors. Haynes had 18 and 17 vs Augie and 18 and 15 vs Elmhurst, his two best performances of the year. If he keeps playing at that level the Thunder will be hard to beat, even for Gramps

History and reputation have not always, but often had the ability to garner a few votes even if a team's current level of performance didn't really merit placement at that lofty of a position, carthage guy.
Right now, it seems evident that both the Wheaties and the Redmen are playing better than the western Vikings.

If Gramps Kelly wears his sunglasses at night, you have strong evidence that such may be the case, USee.  8-)   :-\

Quote from: veterancciwfan on February 03, 2014, 01:18:55 AMRegarding the cancellation of the North Park game at Shirk, 2 thoughts: 1) Wooster College owns one bus and in talking to the Wooster baseball coach at the NCAA baseball tournament last May, Wooster was thinking of buying a second bus. I don't think any CCIW AD's have gone this route. 2) I'm not blaming anyone and I know that many athletic contests were postponed on Saturday. But IIRC, the North Park football team was 2+ hours late for their game at IWU this October. Some mixup between NPU and their bus company which is located somewhere in Wis. as I recall. I know, mistakes happen and SNAFU is normal (a military term coined in WWII-the N in SNAFU stands for normal and you can fill in the blanks).

What the heck does NPU's bus troubles prior to the football game at IWU last fall have to do with Saturday's games at Shirk being postponed, Lanny? The postponement was mutually agreed upon by the four coaches involved -- Amanda Crockett, Mia Smith, Tom Slyder, and Ron Rose -- which is CCIW policy. And it was done well in advance of the scheduled game times, which were originally 5 pm and 7 pm; as the 9:49 am time signature at the top of North Park SID Kevin Shepke's press release about the postponements indicates, the decision was reached fairly early Saturday morning, between seven and eight hours prior to the scheduled tipoff time for the women's game. The roads were terrible in central Illinois on Saturday, which is why the two Elmhurst @ Millikin games were postponed as well. And the two North Park indoor track & field teams didn't go to Illinois Wesleyan for last Saturday's meet, either, due to the weather.

I see absolutely no reason whatsoever for North Park to apologize for putting the safety of its student-athletes first, whether it's on the field of play or in a bus in an inclement-weather situation. Safety is never a "mistake".

And as regards the NPU football team showing up late in Bloomington this fall, I'm not exactly sure what you're getting at here by mentioning it, but if I were you I would tread lightly on the subject of teams delaying the start of a game on another campus. After all, it was your Titans who delayed the start of last season's IWU @ NPU men's basketball game by two hours for the most head-scratching reason I've ever heard for delaying a game: All of the Titans' uniforms were kept in one bag rather than distributed to the players individually (which, as far as I know, is how every other high school and college basketball team in America does it), and then somebody forgot the bag with all of the uniforms in it.

Good guess, except that Bosko is allergic to the Internet -- or at least to d3boards.com. He says that he doesn't read this room, and I believe him.

... which spices up tomorrow night's game at King even more. Not only has Malcom thrown down the gauntlet here on CCIW Chat by saying that Wheaton won't win the league, but IIRC Mike Schauer is a cessationist with regard to spiritual sign gifts, which means that he naturally believes that Malcom's prophetic utterances are of Satan. Hey, these things matter when you're the Wheaton coach. ;)

It also means if he is wrong, per biblical tradition,  Schauer (and a few other Thunder fans to remain nameless) is likely to take him out and stone him.

Boy, I sure hope that WETN carries live footage of that. ;)

(If Wheaton wins, of course.)

We'll I enjoyed the YouTube video by Wheaton's coach! Please everyone come out it will be my last time playing in that arena. I don't believe they will be hosting the conference tournament. Wednesday after the game I'll be answering questions for those who may have any.. So follow me on twitter @MkellyRedmen25. Thanks!!!

I want Carthage to win this league so that there are three leagues with Wisconsin based D-3 champions.

WIAC:  Stevens Point
MWC:  St. Norbert
NACC:  Marian

Carthage winning the CCIW would make 4, so you've got that going for you.
