Then why bring up the CBB and WAW games as a response to the argument? The CBB and WAW home-and-homes don't even come close to ameliorating the NESCAC's single round-robin policy.

Games vs. NCC by IWU and WC surely key.  Gotta grind out the wins and get to the final head-to-head @Wheaton, if possible.  I stand by the view that WC is pretty much in as a pool C, Q's wavering and equivocating notwithstanding.  They are playing very well right at the right time.  Hopefully, IWU is too.  Augie on the ropes, Carthage in a tough spot needing to bounce back from their humiliation at King.

A time of year for seniors and very seasoned teams, programs.  Seems many of you were right and that it would be WC and IWU standing at the end, ready for a championship game on the final day of the regular season.  In less that two weeks, we'll know.

Because the portrayal of the NESCAC schedule was inaccurate to those on this board who don't know the details.

A second Amherst-Williams game is not something to be written off just because there isn't a second game in other matchups.

Pretty sure I have been very consistent on this topic - Wheaton would be in the mix as a Pool, but not a lock.

* At something like 19-8 (.704)/.560/3-4 on Selection Sunday I believe Wheaton would have a pretty good chance to get in.  Thunder fans would have to spend Saturday afternoon watching live streams from across Division III, sweating out conference tournament upsets in games involving teams they've barely heard of...but hey, that's a pretty fun little Saturday to spend actually.

I don't think the Thunder are done as a Pool C candidate.

Agree with IWU on big game @Carthage tomorrow.  If Carthage loses, we will have lost all the momentum of the early season and probably just hold out for the conference tourney.  A win should put them in a decent position to play out the rest of the schedule with at least a shot?? :) at a pool c bid..
Big crowd expected for Alumni game.. should be a much better effort 4 Red Men.

Congrats to Wash U coach Mark Edwards on his 600th win.   A truly major accomplishment in D3 (or any level) coaching.  Coach Edwards' spouse is Mary Cross Edwards, one of my IWU Class of '70 classmates.  A very good person, loyal Titan (when we are not playing Wash U!).  Congrats to Coach Edwards and the Wash U program, one of the top ones in all of D3, both men and women.  Would love to see the Titans and Wash U meet again down the road in March -- always great games @Shirk or in St. Louis.

CC and Augie both need wins, need to right their sinking ships.  IWU has a tough game, even at home, against the much improving EC team of John Baines.  WC looks in the best position for the CCIW crown, with the likely key game @home vs. IWU.

Cabrini to #1 this week, IWU likely to 3-4, and Wheaton hopefully enters the top 25.

IWU70

Mr. Ypsi

I think UWSP retains the #1, though much closer over Cabrini.

iwu70

We'll see Ypsi, more games to be played before the next poll comes out.  I still believe an undefeated Cabrini gets the spot over Point.  Titans should move up a bit, and hopefully ahead of Wash U.

+1 and I definitely want that match-up again and I definitely don't for all the obvious reasons.

I agree. I think that most of the pollsters are smart enough to realize that an overtime road loss to the #7 team in the country is no reason to penalize a team, especially given the gross mismatch between UWSP's SOS and Cabrini's.

I certainly don't write it off. I'm just saying that it doesn't make up for the lack of a second round-robin throughout the NESCAC.
