Dolan had a great year, now in the starting rotation.  He'll be even better next year.

Thanks. Just a real good kid. He was down to Maryville-StL and IWU. I told him at his HS Districts. At IWU you'll play in front of big home crowds and make a couple trips to the Final Four.  ;D I was concern with size and defense. Proved me wrong. Haha

My final Pool C thoughts have North Central in the #19 (final) spot...

We will all know soon enough.

Keeping my fingers crossed.  Regardless of what occurs later today,  John Baines and the Jays deserve a lot of credit for a successful year. Hope it can continue a few more games.  But,  he has this program heading in the right direction.

I really hope EC & NCC get in!

I know of a few years where the CCIW got (3) teams in.  Has the league ever had 4 entrants?

I will be absolutely shocked if Elmhurst is not in.

I still consider NCC a longshot...I have them in, but the odds are probably not with the Cardinals.

We'll see.

Congrats to Elmhurst.  Tough draw = good game.

Washington University hosts DePauw on Thursday for a chance to play Augustana who gets a well deserved bye.

I am not sure a bye to play Wash U in the second round is a big favor. Probably the toughest matchup of any in round 2 for both teams. Oh well.

blue_jays

The Augie-WashU second round is of course the biggest head-scratcher in the bracket. Not much love for the Midwest in terms of the bracketing. But to be fair, the region is down this year and when the second and third CCIW teams combine for 15 losses, it's to be expected. North Central missing out was not shocking, in light of Carthage's fate last year.

Sorry that no Chicago area teams played well enough this year to host a tournament game.  It is so much fun going to games versus watching them on the laptop.  But, hey...thank goodness for live-streaming.  I'll take it.
