Is Juwan Henry still out?

Yes, I believe that he's in class right now. But I'm sure that one of his two roommates would be happy to leave him a message from you. ;)

A little birdie tweeted that Henry is playing tonight as it flew by.  :-\   ;)

I'm hoping for a carry over performance from last Saturday's win by the Thunder with their last home game.  The senior night festivities will be quite brief since Wheaton has no seniors.

Juwan Henry is starting tonight. Yesterday was his first practice since he got hurt. I'm tempering my expectations.

WC up by one over IWU at the half, 38-37.  IWU led by 10 earlier, WC on a nice run to end the half.

When I started to watch with Carroll up 11-5 (?) Henry was not playing.  He has not played since...well into the second half...yet NP is up double digits.

Game of runs, back and forth, WC over IWU.  A bad loss for the Titans.

Juwan Henry only played four minutes. They didn't need him, which was wonderful. I'm sure it was just a morale boost for the Vikes to have him in uniform tonight.

Final at WC was Wheaton 81 IWU 67

Rose 19
Bonnett 14
Seibring 12

Titans got killed on the boards 50-33 and had a bad stretch for the last 4 minutes or so, WC pulling away, hitting almost 90% FTs.

Francis 31  -- could he be an all-time leading scorer in the CCIW in the future?  Only a sophomore.

Bad loss for the Titans -- now two more very tough home games vs. NCC and Augie.  More important basketball to be played, but tonight was not a good performance by the Green guys.  Gotta get it out of your mind and bounce back at home for these last two.

Aston Francis = POY!

Some credit to the Thunder eh IWU70?

Tough loss for the Titans.  I thought Wheaton played an outstanding game.  The incredible rebounding margin was clearly the difference in the game, but I believe most of that was the result of all of the attention IWU had to pay to Aston Francis.  When you have 2 guys 25 feet from the basket chasing Francis around, and a 3rd guy running at him, I think it puts you in really bad rebounding position.

Aston Francis is just an unbelievable player.  The shots he makes are pretty crazy.

IWU now has to win out - vs NCC and vs Augustana.

I give all credit to WC tonight for a good game, esp. coming back several times, out-rebounding the Titans (which should not happen), and playing well down the stretch.  A good win for them at home. They wanted it more tonight. They will be very very good in future, as most of these guys are underclassmen.  WC will be a force in the next several years -- back to where they have normally been in the league.
