After North Park lost in its third contest against Augie, I knew my alma mater would not be selected for the tourney.  I posted that only one CCIW team would make the national tourney.  To my surprise, Augie made it.  Do we have a consensus here, excluding Augie fans, that AC did not deserve to advance?

Someone posted that Coach C was part of the selection committee.  Anyone, e.g., Joe Hakes, know if he is barred from advocating on behalf of his employer in those discussions?

North Park had three victories against tourney qualifiers.  I wonder if any other team can make that boast.

Augie has wins against Calvin and Wisc-Oshkosh and 2 wins against North Central!

Augie had the criteria and the ranking to be selected for this years field.  Nothing wrong with their selection.

Yeah... not sure why anyone thinks Augustana shouldn't have been in the tournament. We selected them about midway through our mock selections on Hoopsville. Is this an attempt to just anger people?

I suspect a fair number of teams can say this.  North Central beat Benedictine, Wartburg, and Augustana.  Carthage beat North Central 2x, Augustana, and Oshkosh.

To the comment above, Middlebury beat Salem State, Eastern Connecticut, Skidmore, Staten Island, Wesleyan, Keene State, Amherst, and Williams.  Notably, five of those are outside of their conference.

I'm sure with five NESCAC teams in the tourney, others also have a basket full of wins against tourney teams

No, he's not trying to anger people. He simply saw that Grey Giovanine was on the regional committee and figured that it was the reason why Augie got the bid. I can guarantee that Mark didn't follow the Pool C process closely, and that he thus isn't aware of how the numbers shook out in Augie's favor.

And, as usual more than not, rely on Greg and others to do his research.
